At the morning match Great Harvest Bread Company will provide free cinnamon rolls, coffee and assorted goodies to fans in attendance.
Shocker seniors Rebecca Pedrazzi, Julia Schiller, Summer Schlotterback, Abby Stevens and Aleksandra Trifunovic will be honored during the afternoon portion, when WSU meets Missouri Valley Conference co-leader Southern Illinois.
Another reason to get out and support the Lady Shocks.

WICHITA, Kan. – In a battle of Missouri Valley Conference unbeatens, No. 26 Wichita State downed Southern Illinois 7-0, Saturday afternoon at the Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex, to claim the program's eighth-consecutive MVC regular season title.
The Shocker women beat previously undefeated SIU 7-0 to claim their 8th straight Valley title. Congrats!"Cotton scared me - I left him alone." - B4MSU (Bear Nation poster) in reference to heckling players

The Shockers' eight-straight conference crowns is the longest women's regular season title streak in MVC history - in any sport – and they've done it in dominant fashion, winning 76-straight against conference foes.
That is just really impressive.
Also congratulations, many thanks, and best wishes to this year's Shocker seniors: Rebecca Pedrazzi, Julia Schiller, Summer Schlotterback, Abby Stevens and Aleksandra Trifunovic.
The victory over SIU improved WSU's overall, four-year mark to 82-25, making the Class of 2016 the winningest (by volume) in school history, ahead of the Class of 2009's 81-25 record.
Coach Foster has some talent to replace next season. I am confident he will.

MVC Women's and Men's Tennis Championship Preview - Hosted by Wichita State April 29th to May 1st.
WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State plays host to the 2016 Missouri Valley Conference Men's and Women's Team Championships, April 29-May 1.
The Lady Shocks should be in-line for an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament even if they don't win the Valley auto-bid this weekend. However, it is hard to see the Shocks losing in a conference they have been dominating for the past 8 years.

Shocks sweep all 6 of the MVC All-Conference singles honors and 2 of the 3 doubles honors. Coach Foster is COY and Gabriela Porubin is the Valley POY.
WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State made a clean sweep of the top-six All-Missouri Valley Conference singles honors and gobbled up two of the three doubles spots at Thursday night's pre-MVC Tournament banquet.
Congratulations Coach Foster and Lady Shocks on very well deserved post season honors.

As expected the Lady Shocks made quick work of Evansville this morning in the opening round of the Valley Tournament dispatching the Aces 4-0. The Shocks won the doubles point and won the #1, #2 and #3 singles. Giulia Guidetti only played 2 games in #4 singles when the match ended and the #5 and #6 singles were not even started.
The Lady Shocks will play the winner of the match between #4 seed Illinois State and #5 seed Bradley tomorrow morning at 10:30 and it appears that match will be at Crestview CC.

Lady Shocks win the 1st set in all 6 singles matches.
Giulia Guidetti makes it 2-0 with her 6-2, 6-1 win at #4 singles.
Julia Schiller make it 3-0 with her 6-0. 6-3 win at #3 singles.
Aleks Trifunovic closes it out with a 6-0, 6-2 win at #5 singles as the Shocks complete their blitzkrieg of the Valley.
Now on to the NCAA Tournament where it will be very interesting to she what this talented Shocker team can do.Last edited by 1972Shocker; May 1, 2016, 03:21 PM.

The 28th ranked Lady Shockers will take on the 35th ranked TCU Horny Frogs as the #2 seed in Coral Gables, Florida on Friday, May 13th. The top seeded and 7th ranked Miami Hurricanes will play unranked Quinnipiac.
Wouldn't it be great if the Lady Shocks could knock off Miami on their home court and gain a measure or revenge for the Shocker men's basketball team.
http://www.goshockers.com/news/2016/5/3/womens-tennis-wsu-women-to-face-tcu-in-coral-gables-fla.aspxWICHITA, Kan. – The Wichita State women's tennis team's eighth-consecutive bid to the NCAA Team Championships includes a new wrinkle. Gabriela Porubin receives a bid to participate in the NCAA Singles Championships.
Wichita State's tennis teams will need to win two dual matches next weekend to reach to the NCAA Championship site in Tulsa, Okla., but their top players are already guaranteed a trip.
Men's tennis senior Tin Ostojic and women's sophomore Gabriela Porubin were selected Wednesday evening to compete for national singles titles at the 2016 NCAA Individual Championships, May 25-30 at the University of Tulsa's Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Congats Gaby and Good Luck.
