As long as I'm asking questions, why is it that sometimes they don't list all of the selections for women's sports? I can only find the first 3 preseason picks for the BIG10. Are we really treating the girls with that much political correctness that we can't list all 13 teams?

Dap has made a living behind the arc going 5-7 with 19 so far. Shocks up 66-46 with 4 minutes to go.

70-55 final and that was as close as it was after halftime. Odd to say the least.

Strange showing this week but great to see the ladies bounce back with an impressive win today. No telling what we'll see tomorrow against Clemson.

Not sure I've ever seen a team shoot exactly ZERO free throws in a game......much less do that and win.

WSU was whistled for 14 fouls, and OSU shot 13 FTs. OSU was charged 12 times, WSU shot no FTs. #GoFigure

When I have done a similar exercise for softball, the BIG10 doesn't have a preseason poll at all!

Michaela had 19 on 10 shots, 5 of 7 from behind the arc, Jamillah had 18 on 16 shots and Alex had 14 on 17 shots.

The lead was as large as 24.

Unable to watch today with company in town. I was very surprised when I saw the score. What a difference a day makes I guess.

Hopefully, tomorrow will bring more of the same.

Florida Gulf Coast is thumping Clemson - I will post the final later - so the Shocker results of the past two days may be chalk.

This tournament has a Gold Division (my nomenclature) and a Silver Division. Playing a round-robin in the Gold are Kentucky, Oklahoma, South Florida and Illinois. It appears that Florida Gulf Coast is the clear class of the Silver Division.

EDIT: Florida Gulf Coast 86-61 Clemson

We looked like Valley champs. Inside out game. Good ball movement. Great 3-2 zone with Kelsey up top playing very long and getting many tipped passes. Well done!!!!

You, of course, always look better when you are knocking idown shots, but I agree we the ball movement was much better and not just around the perimeter. As you pointed out some nice inside-out work there. I mentioned to my wife the other day during the EWU game that I would like to see the Shocks play more zone in the half-court. The match-up 3-2 they played against OSU looked pretty darn good and they rebounded the ball decently out of it.

Ladies finish the weekend by pounding Clemson 63-48. If you'd told me the results of the last two games following the FGCU debacle, I don't know if I could have believed you.

Terrific turnaround by Jody and the crew. Time to come home and play in front of thousands of screaming 8 year olds.

Ah yes, the old pad the attendance stats School House Screamfest. I hope this event proves to have some long-term value but I doubt that it has or will.

Ohio State 90-83 Florida Gulf Coast

Those two teams and the Shockers all finished 2-1.
