We knew coming into the season that we would miss Michelle Price's strength, energy and toughness inside. Last nigh was a prime example. Of course, that was compounded by a poor defensive performance overall. Thank goodness Michaela had a very good offensive performance and was able to grab 10 rebounds or it may have been quite a bit uglier as hard as that is to imagine.

I have to give EWU some credit however as they played extremely well. They were certainly the far superior team on the court against the Shocks.
EWU ran a very efficient motion offense. I couldn't believe how the wings would merely hedge toward half court then run a backdoor cut for a layup. This is so basic. I'm sure the team will be working hard in practice.

The Valley drops two more games on Wednesday:

      Ball State 76 - Evansville 70

      Northern Kentucky 59 - Illinois State 48

The Valley falls to 5-14 in D-1 games. Not looking good early on for the Valley women.
