Bradley looked dead in they water trailing Missouri 4-0 after 6 innings behind the 4-hit pitching of Mizzou's Case Stangel (not Stengel).

Stengel than retired the 1st two batters in the 7th and need only 1 more out for the victory. She then walked the next two hitters before Bradley 1B Alyson Clemente unloaded a 3-run homer to left center making it 4-3.

Bradley DP Marina Groenewegen then singled to right and advanced to 2nd on a wild pitch. Madeline Lynch-Crumrine, who had pitched the 1st 4.2 innings for the Braves allowing all 4 Mizzou runs before moving to RF, then double home Groenewegen with the tying run.

Bradley wasn't done. 2B Shannon King singled to left center scoring L-C and the Braves had themselves one helluva 5-run, two-out rally to take the lead 5-4 with Mizzou coming to bat in the bottom of the 7th.

After Jaelen Hull got the 1st out in the bottom of the 7th Mizzou loaded the bases on a double, an error and an intentional walk. Bradley is bring L-C back into the game to try and hold on for the win.

#16 Mizzou get's the tying run home on a Sac Fly to RF on L-C's 1st offering. L-C gets the final out and they head to extra innings tied at 5-all.

No ITB in the 8th inning. Playing it straight up.

A leadoff walk, sac bunt, single, and a walk (semi-intentional) loaded the bases for Mizzou. Mizzou's Corrin Genovese then won it with a single to through the left side of a no doubt drawn in infield. Geneovese was 4 - 4 on he day.

      Tough loss for the Braves.

            Super Regionals

With the National Seed as a prefix,

            16 Minnesota at 1 Oregon
            Michigan at 8 Florida State
            12 Washington at 5 Florida
            13 Baylor at 4 Georgia

            14 Kentucky at 3 UCLA
            11 Arizona at 6 Louisiana-Lafayette
            10 Tennessee at 7 Oklahoma
            Nebraska at 2 Alabama

These are best two-of-three series with a double header on the second day when an If Game is required. They begin on Thursday (seeds 2 and 8), Friday (4, 6 and 7) or Saturday (1, 3 and 5).

14 of 16 national seeds advanced to the Super Regional in softball. Gotta love the parity of women's sports.

Nebraska lost their first game of the Columbia regional, and then won four in a row, beating host 15 Missouri twice on Sunday. Michigan also won twice on Sunday, beating 9 Arizona State - see the video link above. Seven of the sixteen regionals required an If Game.

Wow, was that the final winner take all game? If so, that was the ultimate finish. 1 run game, at least 1 on. She doesn't make that catch and ASU advances. She made it, so Michigan advances.

And the KU girls who start five Kansas HS athletes were just a hit away from doing what the Huskers did.
Kansas products Kiki Stokes (Huskers who hit a 3-run homer yesterday), Alex Hugo (Georgia home run queen) and Kelsey Stewart (Florida leadoff flash) are still alive in the tournament.

Yes! And Michigan had hit solo homers on consecutive pitches in the top of the seventh to take the lead and send the game to the bottom half. And if the ball is not hit more-or-less "at" the center fielder, she doesn't have time to get to the spot and make the catch.
