Shocks picking up the pace pushing the ball hard on offense. 65-39 with 10:23 remaining.

Shocks are 12-12 from the field in the 2nd half and it hasn't been all layups either.

How many times have you thought about the St Joe's loss today, 72? :)

Definitely when the Shocks were up by 16 at the half.

15 in a row and a statement made. Nice job Ladies.

Final 83-63. And not nearly that close.

              Great team performance tonight.

Shocks take a 1-game over the Sycamores with 11 to play, but more importantly the Shocks have played 5 of their 7 Valley games on the road. The Sycamores have played 5 of their 7 Valley games at home.

Now the Shocks just need to keep their focus and take advantage of the great position they have put themselves in.

Is there another program in the country whose men's and woman's BB teams have a combined record of 37-2? Great job ladies...making waves in your own right.

We lead the country and we're very good.

Forgive me if this has been mentioned elsewhere as I visit the ladies forum less frequently, but I saw that the girls received votes in the AP Poll for the second straight week today.

Has any other WSU WBB team ever received votes in the poll? I do not recall it ever happening.

Not sure about. Darryl Smith may have had teams that received some votes.

It'll be interesting to see if the women get any more votes in the Coaches poll when it comes out tomorrow. (I assume tomorrow since the last one was on 1/21.) They had 9 votes in the 1/21 poll, which was equivalent to 31st.

In the AP poll, the women are RV at 35th (five votes), up from 38th (one vote) last week. In the USA Today Coaches poll, they are RV with 22 votes and are T27. Last week they were 31st with nine votes. As a curiosity of sorts, collegeinsider.com runs a Women's Mid-Major Top 25 poll. There the Shockers are eighth, holding three first place votes with the other 28 held by first-place Gonzaga.

Again, I'm confident we'll run the table at 18-0, 27-2 and most likely be ranked. Kelsey leads the Valley in blocks and is 2nd in free throw percentage, which is a huge improvement for her. Her defense with Alex and JB is ferocious. I hope we have a nice crowd, Friday and Sunday. This team deserves the attention.
