The "live" results seem to be lagging quite badly.

Before this is all done, I want to thank @WuDrWu: and @1972Shocker: for their play-by-play.

The lone ISU runner has been dropped and this contest is over. Well done ladies!

I'm pretty sure Samantha Shukla scored for the Shocks. Awaiting the results.

9 runners in the lead pack. 2 are Shockers. Let's make this a no doubter.

Shocks pick up 6 points for 5th and 7th place. Ebeissa Nywandwi and Sidney Hirsch respectively.

Indiana State wins the 4X4 as WSU nearly drops the stick on the final exchange and finishes 6th I think but no matter, WSU is your Women's 2014 Outdoor Track and Field Champion!

The Shocks were 6th I think which isn't bad consider how badly the final exchange went. But as you say it is of no real consequence in the big picture.

                  Congtratulations Ladies.

congrats Shox on the women's win! Dropping that baton in the 4 x 100 relay and our disappointing pole vault results cost us big time, you all earned it!

We flipped pre-meet polls, your women won, while the ISU men were able to win. GREAT meet at SIU! Good luck at the NCAA meet!

Yes, that dropped baton was a killer.

Congratulations to the Indiana State men's team. They certainly came through in the clutch.

Looking forward to next year the Shocks have only 6 seniors on this year's roster. Of those Senior 4, Natalie Morerod (10), Shamoya Pruitt (3) and Samantha Shukla (1) contributed to the scoring at this years MVC Outdoor Championship. In addition, Natalie and Shamoya were on the 2nd place 4x100 team and Natalie and Kiara Giles were on the 6th place 4x400 team.

Natalie will clearly be tough to replace but the Shocks have the bulk of their scoring from this year
                          coming back.

The Shocks are adding 9 freshmen and a Juco transfer next season (the article says they are adding 9, but I count 10):
WICHITA, Kan. - Head coach Steve Rainbolt and the rest of the Wichita State track and field staff announced the signing of nine women that will join the Shocker track and field team next fall.

It appears to me the Shocks should be right in the thick of things again next season.

Congrats to Shocker Sophomore Ashley Peterson on being the only Shocker to advance to the NCAA Championship Meet in Eugene, Oregon.

While Ashley was the only Shocker athlete to advance out of the West regional this year the Shocks do have some good, young talent coming back next year.
