Bugg had her career high of 16 when Creighton came to town. It seems she thinks history *has* to repeat itself.

Shocks trail 29-25 at halftime. Considering the way they played and some of the lineups they played with I feel pretty good about that.

1st time I have seen the interior of Sokol Arena. Not particularly impressed with it. Might be more impressive in person and from the stand.

The BlueJays apparently like it shooting 59% from the filed in the 1st half.

CU opens the 2nd half on a 9-2 run. Shocks trail 38-27 and just don't seem to be into te proceedings.

Creighton leads the nation in 3-points made per game. Shocks strategy seems to be to leave the 3-point shooters open.

Shocks trail 43-38 at the under 8 timeout. Seem to have lost the momentum for now, but that can change quckly with a big play like a steal and breakaway which Michelle has done a couple of times in the 2nd half.

Shocks give up two layups on the last two possesions including an and-one. Creighton on a 7-0 run. Shocks down now 48-38. Creighton doing a good job defensively. Tough situation for the Shockers.

CU getting great looks inside the paint and the Shocks don't seem to have anyone confident in taking and knocking down shots.

Michelle Price is the only Shocker who showed up with the necessary desire and intensity to win a game like this.

Shocks lack of offensive capabilities come back to bite them again and their defense kind of came and went today.

Shocks still with a one-game lead over Creighton, but Creighton has a huge advantage in the schedule over the remaining 5 games.

Here is a headscratcher for you. Last weekend the Shocks defeated UNI then were pretty much dismantled by Bradley. Today Bradley loses at UNI 70-45.

I watched on a very poor web stream on Shocker Vision which was actually Creighton's broadcast. I hope we are not repeating last year and implode the last half of the season. We were killed inside, but Jaz (15 minutes) and Kelsey (8 minutes) weren't used. I thought their defense was fine altering shots, Kelsey with a block. When listening to the radio interview with HCJA she talks about the mental aspect. I think she puts too much emphasis on that and reads into what she thinks is going on in her players heads. Just play your best players and win. Dap hit some shots, but was a big liability on defense. She's too small to be guarding a big post. We need to catch fire.

Not going to win too many games on the road when your two best players are more or less MIA.

Jessica was 1-7 from the field in 37 minutes of play. Alex was 3-11 and only had 3 rebdounds. Adding to the Shocks woes Darice was 1-6 wit 0 rebounds and Chynna was 1-4 with 2 rebounds. That's a combined 6-28 (21.4%) from four of your principal offensive threats.

The Shocks were outrebounded 33-23 (hustle/lineup?), but made up for that with a 22-12 advantage in turnovers. The Shocks 26-15 advantage in points after turnovers togehter with Michelle Price's hustle (7 rebounds and 2 steals for breakway layups) is the only thing keeping the Shocks in the game most of the way.

Considering Creighton knocked down 50% of there shots and were 6-16 on treys it could have been worse.

On the positive side the Shockers still own a 1-game lead over Creighton and the game at Creighton probably wasn't one you really expected to win, although it was a winnable game. The Shocks still control their own destiny, but have very little, if any, margin for error the rest of the way. If we continue to play the way we have over the last 3 games we may be in for a disappointing finish to the season. Hopefully, the upcoming homestand with EU and SIU will provide the Shocks with one last chance to regroup and recharge for the tough 3-game road swing at ILS, INS and MSU to close the season.
