Not sure what you find amazing. I don't recall seeing where any one said they weren't rooting for the Shocks. I will be rooting for them as I always do and as I have for many years now. Would love to see an upset, just not expecting it especially on the road.

If you are expecting the Shockers to win good for you, although you have not made any case at all why you believe that will happen.

However, regardless of our differing expectations I can assure you that you will not be rooting any harder than I will for the Shocks and no one will be any happier than I if they pull off the upset.

I'm just happy I get to sit in my recliner and watch on HD TV. I'm sure we'll all have our opinions on the game. They play on Pete Maravich Court. Another great with a demanding father (Press), just like Pat and Jody. Hopefully there are no more injuries.

Who knows Brent may have co-opted that techinque from the Wizard.

I recall readying many years ago that you new Coach Wooden was very upset when he hurled his sternest epipthet at you which was: "Goodness gracious, sakes alive!"

OTOH, some Coaches would not be able to communicate at all if they were unable to cuss. I have had coaches of both ilk that I have respected and liked as coaches. I just don't think regardless of your personal style in communicating, you can be all negative, all the time. (Not implying that is the case with Jody). Since none of us outside of the team and coaches are privy to everything that goes on than we can't assume Jody is anything other that a stern coach with high expectations. Nothing wrong with that in and of itself.

My knees started shaking when I read "Goodness Gracious, Sakes alive!" It could be compared to a profanity laced dressing down. And, you are right, my high school coach only had one vice, he cussed like a storm trooper, but also motivated us.

Some interesting info in there, the most notable of which this group of Seniors now owns the best 3-Year win total in Shocker history. Let's hope that grows to the best 4-year win total at the end of this year.

Shocks road record has improved greatly during Jody Adam's tenure vs Jane Albright's 5 years. During Jane's tenure the Shocks were 3-54 on the road with only 1 MVC road win. During Jody's 1st 4 years the Shock's road record has improved every year and overall was 15-36 with 10 MVC road wins.

Based on the votes LSU received votes in the preseason USA Today/ESPN Coaches poll which would rank them at #28 in the country. A huge opporutnity for the Shocks if they could somehow pull the upset. In any case, this is a nice RPI game for the Shocks.
