It appears there is no ITB in the eighth. For a non-conference game, ITB in the tenth is the norm I think.

For the Cowgirls in the eighth, a lead-off bunt single, steal and sac bunt sets the stage for an infield single that scores the winning run.

A great outing by Sloan is not rewarded. :( She gives up six hits (four in the last 2.1), two walks and two strike outs.

They always say there are no moral victories, but not sure about that for this Shocker team. This might qualify.

Don't you have to be cautiously opitimistic about Sloan's last 2 outings against good competition? Hopefully, she is getting it figured out.

Sydney Steuver having a very good start to her Shocker career. Let's hope that continues. Need to shake Sammie Shook's bat loose at some point though. She has struggled so far.

Sid Steuver and Shelby Davis are two very similar players but it was Davis that received all of the hype in highschool. However at this point, I have to believe that WSU got the better of the two players. Sid is hitting 60 points higher and has twice as many steals as Davis.
I am not saying that Davis is not a good player, I am saying that at this point, I would much rather have Steuver.

Maybe Davis got more hype because Stuever didn't play her senior season?????

I definately think we got the better player. It seems there are certain players in the area that get more hype than others but I won't go into why.
