Chynna was a beast today! Thats exactly the kind of interior presence we need every game!

Honestly I thought HCJA had bitten off more than we could chew with such a tough NC schedule but I was dead wrong. GO SHOCKS GO!

Chynna has been playing the best ball of her career lately. Haleigh was terrific especially when she was really needed in the 2nd half.

And yes, it does look like the tougher non-con schedule may be paying some dividends. Let's hope this level of play continues and grows even stronger as the younger kids gain experience.

BTW, Northern Iowa knocke off Missouri State today 62-54. So the weekend could not have worked out much better for the Lady Shocks.

All, FWIW, but it appears getting a win out of this trip would be a good result.
Still FWIW and probably not much, but definitely not anymore. Not sure I remember when the Shocks last were in double digit RPI territory.

Chynna has turned into a double-double machine all of a sudden. 19 points and 12 rebounds today incuding a perfect 7-7 FG and 5-7 from the line. It will be interesting to see her Prouty rating for this game. This follows up her 13 and 12 effort against UNI and now gives her 4 double-doubles this year.

Haleigh cashed in 15 points, all in the second half, and Jessica chipped in 13.

Still early but sweeping the UNI - Bradley road swing is probably not something too many (if any) MVC teams will do, especially considering Valley favorite Missouri State couldn't duplicate the Shocks performance this weekend.

Happy New Year All! A good new year's resolution might be to get out and support the Lady Shocks.

                    :encouragement:

Yes, if we go 18-0 the Valley is ours. But that ain't gonna happen and I think it is way, way, way, way too early to annoint the Shocks regular season champs after only 2 games although it is an absolutely terrific start to the conference season. I have a feeling we are going to have to play our 16 remaining conference games. The next step is to take care of business at home agaisnt Drake this coming Thursday.

Just a happy, optomistic fan. Believe me, I know anything can happen. It is very difficult to get all players and coaches firing on all cylinders every game. I sure like what I see so far. Still need to cut the silly turnovers.

I understand. Hard not to get excited by a 5-game road winning streak (1 neutral court win) including impressive wins at UNI and at Bradley. That is something Lady Shocker fans have not been exposed to very often. Looking forward to seeing the Ladies back on the home court this coming Thursday vs Drake and Saturday vs Creighton. It's imperative that the Shocks validate those opening MVC road wins by holding serve at home.

Sunday, not the normal Thursday-Saturday schedule.
