Shocks are 6-8 and tied for 6th with Indiana State. Not really sure who would win that tiebreaker to avoid the MVC Tournament play-in round.
Shocks have 4 games remaining starting with Creighton Friday evening, followed by the final road swing of the year to winless SIU and to Evansville next wee.
If the Shocks can go 3-1 in these four games and finish 9-9 I'm reasonably confident they will finish 6th or better.
2nd place Creighton, 12-3 in league play, will be the toughest of the four games. However, the Shocks did take them to OT in Omaha before losing 48-50 in a game where both teams played poorly.
It would certainly make for a nice week with another win over the Bluejays to follow-up the Shocker men's win on Wednesday.
Keys to the game:
WSU is 26-1 (6-0 this year) under Jody Adams when attempting more FTs than their opponent. Unfortunately, this has happened only about 30% of the time during Jody's tenure. Not sure any other key to the game is needed.
