Shocks lead Northern Illinois 4-2 after five. Haley Temple and Jamie Hull providing the offense.

Haley doubled in the 1st and Jamie followed with a 2-run homer.

Haley singled in the 5th and Jamie supplied her 2nd 2-run homer of the game.

Breezy started and went 3.2 giving up 2 runs on 6 hits. Sloan now pitching in the 6th. Got the 1st hitters in the 6th then gave up a double. That runner scored on an error by Sammie at shortstop. Another sinlge and a walk has loaded the bases for the Huskies.

Sloan gets the 3rd out to hold the lead at 4-3 going into the bottom of the 6th.

Shocks inability to hold on to leads late continues.

Sloan gives up a double and single to start the top of the 7th. She did get out of the jam, unfortunatley it was by giving up a 3-run homer.

Shocks trail 6-4 with NIU still batting with no outs. Breezy reinserted into the game and gives up a walk before retiring the next 3 hitters.

        :(

If its not pitching, its defense, if its not defense its hitting. Need to put all three together in the same game. Hope they can regroup and win the next one vs. St. John's. Go Shocks!

Holly Eckert with a grand salami to put the Shocks up 4-0 over St. John's in the top of the 2nd.

That's 8 run scored on homers in 9 innings today so that is a positive.

It is becoming difficult to remain optimistic, but I expect us to win 3 out of 5 in North Texas.
