Not real sure, but Lambo said he had a couple of players that were fighting illness but did not specify who that was.

Glad to hear the gals pulled out a tough one on the road. I was busy watching Buhler choke away a victory to Andover tonight.

I've got November 2 noted on the calendar!

Abby Harsh broke an 18 year old Shocker single match record tonight with 75 assists.

Abby (in a 4 game match) broke the record of 73 assists by Yu-Chyi Yang against Eastern Illinois in a 5 game match on 11/3/89. BTW, during this same match which the Shockers won 3-2, the Shockers set a single match team record with 169 digs. Of course, those were in the pre-rally scoring days. That must have been one long match.

Speaking of records Kelly Broussard is well on her way to obliterating the Career record for digs. There is a good chance Kelly will pass Karen Augspurger career record of 1,477 digs by the end of this year, with a full season to go next year before she is done.

One record that may last a long, long time though is career service aces which is held by Sara Younes with 351. The second best career total for aces is 172.

Sarah McGee put in her bid for more playing time tonight.

She didn't play a whole lot but played late in Games 3 and 4 and made the most of her chances.

She had 5 kills and 0 errors in 7 attacks (0.714) and also had a solo block and a block assist.

Shocks were out-blocked by MSU by 18 to 8, which is one reason why MSU was able to stay competitive after Panzau went down. This continues to be an area the could use improvement for the Shocks.

To think that the ladies ended the Bear's winning streak, on the road, with barely any help from perhaps their most dangerous player right now, speaks volumes about the potential of this team, right now.

Seeing Sarah McGee play again is exciting. Another potentially dominating net player is just what we need to take the next step.

These girls can reach any goal.
