Texas rolls over Iowa State in Set 4 by a score of 25 - 12 to take the match 3-1.

Set was close until about the 10 point mark, then Iowa State started making a lot of attack errors.

Iowa State had only 5 kills in Set 4 with 11 attack errors in 30 attempts for a -.200 hitting percentage.

All in all though a terrific post-season run for Iowa State.

Although the way Lambo views the tournament they got no further than the Shockers did. They both made it to Texas.

Stanford 3-0 Hawaii

19, 9 and 18, just spanked them in the second set.

Nebraska 3-2 Washington

Washington broke away from a 4-4 tie in the first set and never looked back, winning 25-14.

In the second set, Nebraska led 16-13, the largest lead of the match to that point, but Washington went on a 6-0 run to take a 19-16 lead, holding on to win 25-23.

In the third set, Nebraska never trailed, taking an early lead and winning 25-17.

Nebraska broke out of a 9-9 tie in the fourth set to take a 13-9 lead, stretching it to 21-15. But Washington came roaring back to tie the set at 23 before Nebraska steadied to win the set 26-24.

Washington's 3-0 start to set five forced a Nebraska timeout. The lead moved to 9-3, but Nebraska closed to 9-8, forcing two Huskie timeouts. Nebraska continued the run, reaching a 12-9 score. Washington tied the set at 13, but an attack error and a service ace and Nebraska survived, 15-13.

A great win on the road in Seattle.

Penn State v Nebraska and Stanford v Texas in Omaha next weekend.

Things should be hopping at the Quest Center as the Top 4 seeds advance to the Semi-Finals.

That will be some serious women's volleyball.

I'm rooting for a Texas-PSU final. I think Penn State rolls everybody this year. Since Texas beat us, I'd like to see them get to the championship match.

#3 Nebraska won the first 3 sets against #2 Stanford but they could not put the Cardinal away losing the 5th set 15 -13.

#1 Penn State takes the 1st set against #4 Nebraska pulling away late for a 25 - 17 win.

17,000 in attendance at the Quest Center in Omaha.

Now that is impressive.

All four teams are amazing. The talent and athleticism is simply light years ahead of most other teams in the country.
