Sophomore outside hitter Mikaela Raudsepp celebrated her
20th birthday on Saturday with a big performance at Missouri
State. She had seven kills on 18 swings with no errors and hit
.389. She also added two digs and a block. In 11 MVC matches
this season, she is averaging 2.62 kills, 1.03 digs and 0.51
blocks per set and hitting .279.
Moving On Up
Junior libero Dani Mostrom and sophomore setter Emily Hiebert continue to climb
the Shocker career records list for digs and assists, respectively. Mostrom is now
seventh in career digs with 1,364 and needs 20 more to move into sixth place, while
Hiebert is 10th in assists with 2,079 and needs six more to move into ninth place.
Streaky Business
The Shockers are currently on an eight-match winning streak, the longest streak
since the 2013 team won 10 in a row from Aug. 31-Sept. 20. During this streak, the
Shockers are hitting .290, while holding opponents to a .179 clip. Five Shockers are
averaging more than 2.4 kills per set, including Jody Larson (2.96), Shimen Fayad
(2.89), Mikaela Raudsepp (2.64), Abbie Lehman (2.43) and Katie Reilly (2.43)
