I loaded the periscope app and hooked in my Twitter and followed the osu women who had a periscope camera link at the game. Wasn't great quality or vantage point but you could tell what was going on
You have to buy a subscription to see the Honolulu game article and Corvallis just grabbed some stats for theirs. Someone might post the Honolulu game article on Volleytalk when they wake up over there. :)
Sounds like a good, competitive effort by the Lady Vandals. Shocks will need to make sure they don't take their match with Idaho for granted.
Hawaii was sloppy in their defense and passing game. I didn't watch the entire match but the 2 squads were not competitive imho. UH has a lot of guns and bullets. Getting them out of system is a key to success.
"They run a different type of system, one you'll never see run by any other team, where their setter blocks middle," Hawaii coach Dave Shoji said of Wichita State. "We'll be challenged by them because every player they have does something really well.
"The challenge will be taking away what they like to do."
Friday, August 28 1. San Diego over COLORADO 3-1 2. Florida State over Oklahoma 3-1 3. Washington over GONZAGA 3-0 4. KENTUCKY over Michigan State 3-2 5. LONG BEACH STATE over Alaba
Recap: Let me give credit to Wichita State but the reason we lost was completely in our hands.
Yeah, it did come across that way. OSU is hitting 0.410 against Idaho after 2 sets tonight. So they either really did have a bad day against the Shocks or Lambo was right about this Shocker team being the best Shocker defensive team he has had.
I guess it's akin to how many teams seem to have an off day when they face the Shocker men's basketball team. Looking forward to seeing this team play and grow.
