If you were going to take an 8 year old to watch the Lady Shockers win a high level volleyball game, what game and seating area would you suggest?

Missouri State was picked 2nd behind WSU in the MVC preseason poll. That always seems like a tough match. Northern Iowa was picked 3rd. The Shockers have NOT beaten the Panthers in Wichita since 2008. That crap really needs to stop at some point.

After looking at stats more, going back to 2010, Northern Iowa has won 15 of the last 16 games/sets here in Wichita, rattling off 13 straight before WSU finally at least managed to get the second game/set in last year's 3-1 UNI victory. Ugh!

Seating area is varied. It is all general admission seating, so just take your pick. Doc and I congregate behind the south baseline, but most anywhere is good. If it isn't a huge crowd, you can move around to check out different viewpoints to see what you personally like the best.

Thanks Wu. So just buy tickets at the door or ahead of time since it's gen ad?

You certainly CAN buy tickets at the door, but especially for bigger matches (or if there is some big promotion), there tends to be a big line at the ticket windows if you try to show up less than 30 minutes before the match. Therefore, getting them ahead of time isn't a bad idea either.

The MSU and UNI matches are the best conference matches. Also coming up in a couple weeks is the Shocker Volleyball Classic. #15 Kentucky on Friday, Sept 11th at 8pm and #8 Illinois on Saturday, Sept 12th at 8pm will be extremely challenging matches. The Shocks should be favored over MSU and UNI but will be underdogs against the Top 15 Kentucky and Illini teams.

The MSU, Kentucky and Illinois matches will all be on ESPN3 and the UNI match will be on Cox. However, you just can't beat being in the arena for these high level matches. However, I will warn you that if you do attend a match in person don't be surprised if you become addicted to Shocker Volleyball.

Quite frankly it will be disappointing to me if we don't draw 5k for the Kentucky and Illini matches although it would surprise me if we actually do draw that well for those matches.
