  • Win or Go Home Time

The Wichita State volleyball team travels to Cedar Falls, Iowa for the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament, Nov. 27-29.

Been a while since we've been in this position heading into the Valley Tournament but there is no question that is where we are this year as the Shocks head to Cedar Falls as the #3 seed. Of course, this applies to every other team in the Tournament with the probable exception of #1 seeded Illinois State.

The Shocks play Indiana State on Thanksgiving day at 7:30 pm.

If the Shocks get by the Sycamores for the 3rd time this year they get host Northern Iowa, who has pretty much owned the Shocks in recent years, on Friday at 7:30 pm. Beating UNI is tough anywhere but especially in Cedar Falls.

#1 Illinois State, #4 Missouri State and #6 SIU are on the other side of the bracket. The Championship Match is Saturday at 4:00 pm.

The Shocks have a tough task in front of them, but not an impossible task.

Congratulations to Abbie Lehman on her 1st Team All-Valley Selection and, of course, All-Fresham Team honors. Could not be happier for MaryAshton Floyd on her 1st Team All-Confeeence selection as well.

Ashlynn Driskill made the 2nd Team and Emily Hiebert was on the All-Freshman team.http://www.goshockers.com/ViewArticl...CLID=209782092

WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State placed three volleyball student-athletes on the 2014 All-Missouri Valley Conference Team and two on the All-Freshman Team.

Huh, I guess there's not so much a changing of the guard, eh Coach Ingram?

Shocks off to a decent start with a 9-5 lead. Raudsepp replaces Whitledge in the rotation, everything else pretty much the same.

Shocks cruise to a 25-16 first set win that was never in doubt. Shocks playing solid if not spectacular, and the Trees aren't.

They won the serve-receive battle big time.

No doubt and hitting >.400 helps too.

ISU changes setters, and that's unlikely to change to direction of this set at least. Shocks again opening it up, leading 18-11.

4-0 run by the Trees trying to close on the Shocks. 20-15.

                              Timeout Shocks.
