    Goshockers.com says:

Kid’s Night is for all kids in the Wichita area, 8th grade and below.

The voucher does not reference USD259:

BTW, I find it incredibly hard to believe that no one has brought up the fact that Saturday is National Taco Day and the first 2,500 fans receive FREE coupons from Taco Bell.

Let's get our priorities right here on ShockerNet!

Pretty full. If I had to guess would say 4000.

                Shocks 1-3 Northern Iowa

                21-25, 25-19, 19-25, 13-25

LivsStats says the attendance was 3609.

This was my first chance to see the Shock live, being on vacation the previous home weekend.

The Panthers did what they always do: they kept a ton of balls off the floor. Their setter did a very nice job it seemed.

Mikaela is the real deal. She led the team with fifteen kills and hit .286. Katie hit .455 with eleven kills, and Abbie had nine kills and hit .333, not great for a middle. Mash had nine kills but hit only .086, and Ashlyn hit .000.

As advertised, Emily does very well with her back sets, but setting the left pin is definitely a work-in-progress.

We were outblocked 11 to 6.5 (some of those a function of the set). Our SE-SA was -2, while the Panthers were +3.

The final set was uglier than the score indicated.

Nice crowd. Shocks still looking for some consistency. The better team won tonight without any doubt. I really like the way UNI plays. Very sound fundamentally, everyone who plays can dig the ball. Hard to find the floor on them. The aren't spectacular offensively but they just won't generally beat themselves. UNI won pretty much ever phase of the game tonight.

Shocks still a work in process and probably will remain so for the remainder of this season.

Hopefully the Shocks will be a legitimate threat to win the Valley Tournament by season end.

did I hear that BOTH teams wore pink jerseys/uniforms/whatever-they're-called-in-vb tonight? I'm kind of curious to see pictures of that.

Yes, that was odd. Hey do you think that may have confused the scorekeeper and the Shocks won afterall?

The Shocks had white numerals and UNI had black numerals, so it was easy to tell them apart. :) I am no fashionista, but that shade of pink definitely did not go with the purple shorts the Panthers wore.

I have no fashion sense either, but I have noticed various teams with combos that clash during these pink nights or whatever. Sounds like their black shorts may have looked better.

elsewhere in the Valley, Evansville and Bradley played a 78-pt set. (Evansville won 40-38 to complete the sweep). that's craziness. Ties for 3rd highest-scoring set in the 25-pt era for Div-I WVB, if anyone was curious.
