Illinois State won, perhaps in 5, I don't know yet. They look good.

GT link for the match against Virginia Tech. It is scheduled for 1100 CT, but the Kentucky-Butler match precedes it, so the time could be a bit later.

Had to leave the computer after Set 1 and the 4-2 start in Set 2 so I had hopes we might take a set. Guess not. Not surprised we lost to a very good Kentucky team. I'm sure the butterflies were thick as thieves on the Shocker side.

Let's see how the Ladies respond tomorrow. I see the redshirt is off two of our freshman littles, Hanna and Gabi. I thought one would play and one might redshirt but looks like Lambo wants to bank some experience this year.

Not at all surprised to see Hannah play, very much surprised to see Gabi in there. Gotta find some defense and someone to help Raudsepp with the heavy lifting.

Didn't get a chance to listen or see the game, but in looking at the box score I see 2 big things. 1 block and only 36 digs (36 isn't awful, but not great either). I tend to believe the second number is very much a function of the first which means we have a lot of room to grow and improve on our defense at the net.

Our comparable numbers against Kentucky were .122 and .372. Today we may discover how sharp our learning curve is.

Shocks still in it but they are simply making to many self-inflicted wounds. Need to play a much cleaner game and not give away so many points.

VaTech takes set 1 by a 25-20 score. The Shocks final 4 points of the set were off of 3 VT service errors and a VT attack error.

Katy Dudzinski in the rotation in place of Ashlyn Driskill in this set, the second. [EDIT: I type too slowly. :)]

6 of the Shocks 8 points in Set 2 are on VaTech service or ballhandling errors.

The Shocks trail 10-15 in Set 2. Shocker points have come on 6 SE, 2 BE and 2K (in 19 attempts).
