The 6th Annual Volleyball 101 Dinner, which for me always kind of rings the bell for a new year of Shocker sports, will be held on Saturday, August 23rd.
If you have never attended a Shocker VB 101 Dinner I believe you would enjoy it. I've not missed one yet and have enjoyed them all.
The silent auction seems to grow year-by-year. The memorabilia is not restricted to Volleyball items. There were quite a few very nice Men's basketball items in last year's auction. The thing with the VB 101 auction you are not competing with as large a crowd for items as you would be at Rockin' The Roundhouse, although they will probably have about 400 in attendance.
The Shocks will open the season the following weekend at Kentucky where they will play Butler and Virginia Tech in addition to the host Wildcats.
