Beating UNI 3 times in one year is definitely a significant achievement. And one that has probably finished UNI's year.

It was a good win, but definitely not a pretty one. At times the Shocks could not get out of their own way and at other times they played very well. Bottom line at this time of the year is survive and advance. Mission one accomplished.

I'm hoping tonight's match knocked some of the rust off the Shockermobile and that we will be a little sharper in tomorrow's championship match.

From a Shocker point-of-view, the win by SIU tonight was unfortunate. A loss to SIU in the finals quite possibly bumps our RPI high enough to keep us from an at-large bid. Losing to UNI in the finals, probably kept us in the hunt for an at-large.

Of course, winning tomorrow makes this all speculation.

If I understood Lambo correctly he said ILS did a good job containing Ashley. She only had 18 kills on 30 attacks with 3 errors for a 0.500 hitting percentage.

Ashley also had 1 block solo and 7 block assists plus a dig and a couple of assists. Too bad Ashley is only on the floor for about half of the rotations.

Welp, UNI is done for the year. Sorry, ValleyChimp.

Nice win ladies. Let's win this SOB.

Must win this one. Like it that several players are stepping up to lead the SHOX to win these matches. It would be nice to see everyone on the floor play to their capability. Several players just giving away the sets is so unusual for Lambo teams. Today is the day to perform or just stay home and study for finals. It. Is up to the ladies to decide what they will do. Everyone needs to be tough.
                              GO SHOX!

Friendly reminder that the championship match is on FSN and ESPN3 (if you are outside the blackout area) right now.

18-18 in the first set. Come on Ladies!
