We just look totally out of synch tonight. I wouldn't give you 5 to 1 that we'll come back to win this match. UNI gave us most of our points in the first set, which after leading 21-18 we lost the last 7 points of the set.

Set 2 is basically like set 1....Shocks spend most of the set within 1 point and have taken a slight lead as it gets late. UNI timeout, we'll see what happens.

Shocks are hitting .409 this set and lead by 1...that's how bad the synch is right now. Our defense is horrible.

HUGE back row swing from Driskill at 18 all. Feekin wins a joust at the net, then a solo block. Same exact story as set 1.....timeout UNI trailing 18-21.

Hope we don't let them score 7 straight again.

Couple of huge swings by Elizabeth Field gets the Shocks to set point.

Hitting error gives the Shocks set 2. That was LARGE. Couldn't afford to give that away again.

I'm telling you, that back row kill from Ashlyn at 18 all was a game changer. I'm not sure they close the set if she misses that one.

Shocks may have taken some wind out of the sails of the Panthers in that 2nd set. UNI doesn't have the same energy in set 3. Shocks have a decent lead but it's not over yet.

19-13. Andrade having a HUGE match. Feekin is irreplaceable.

Set 3 to the Shocks 25-20. That looked a little more normal, although again UNI looked a little beat.

Andrade is a STUD. 14 kills hitting .650

Ok, Doc, how did you let that 1st set get away from us? Not acceptable. OTOH, you've done a great job of righting the ship and getting the Shocks back on track. Ok, Ok I'll give Lambo a minor assist.

It's kind of funny actually...I had a bad migraine earlier, but it seemed to go away about the time the Shocks started rolling.

Only 1 attack error by Ashley. Damn efficient. We need to come up with an appropriate nickname for Ashley. How about B-52. She can bomb the heck out of you.

                        Other Valley scores:

MSU cooks the Geese in Des Moines 25-14, 25-21, 25-17

Loyola arrests the Pimps in Indiana 25-23, 25-23, 25-16

Illinois State clear cuts the Sycamores 25-18, 25-15, 25-19

Bradley and Southern are in a battle in the 5th in Carbondale.

Shocks are getting close to a win.....18-11.

I could not have been more wrong after the first set. WSU dominated the Panthers from then on and take a huge step to a Valley championship, even this early in the season.

                          21-25, 25-21, 25-20, 25-15

Very nice job, Lady Shocks. I was like Doc and kind of wondering whether we had the mental tenacity to win in Cedar Falls after that collapse at the end of the 1st set, but you could not of asked for much more from the Shocks over the final 3 sets.

This is a win that probably no one else in the Valley will duplicate.

Shocks now have wins over MSU and UNI and one of those teams will pick up loss #2 tomorrow night.

Bradley gets the win in 5:

                              26-28, 10-25, 25-21, 25-18 and 16-14. BU saved a match point at 13-14 in the 5th.
