The Shockers conclude their regular season AAC schedule with a weekend series against Memphis. Games are Friday at 6 pm, Saturday at 4 pm, and Sunday at noon.
The Tigers are easily the weakest team in the conference. Their record is 6-40 and 1-23. Their lone conference win was over UTSA, the other weakest team in the conference.
Taniyah Brown at .743 is the only player with an OPS greater than .700. The team OPS in conference play is .547. The pitchers in conference-starts order are Rylee Dugar, Brown, and Abigail Morgan. Unsurprisingly, the conference pitching stats are, uh, unattractive. The teams numbers are an ERA of 6.78 and a WHIP of 2.30.
The Shocker offense continues to be not much beyond Addie (1.551 and eleven homers), CC (1.417 and seven homers), Taylor (1.336 and ten homers), and Krystin (1.126). There is a big gap down to Caroline (.712) and Bailey (.695).
Chloe is climbing the charts (ERA of 2.93 and WHIP of 1.33) and is now the presumptive ace again, but Alex still easily has the most innings of the four with stats of 4.02 and 1.72.
The Shockers are in fifth place in the AAC standings with a record of 13-11. The only team within reach is Tulsa at 14-10. Their series this weekend is at Florida Atlantic. Tulsa won the series with the Shocks, so the Shockers need a sweep of Memphis and no more than one win by Tulsa to move up in the seedings. North Texas travels to play Charlotte in the other series of note.
