Just what I was thinking but since Taylor already said it:

My guess is that HCKB will wait to see who the opponent will be before making that decision and that decision may also be influenced by who she would like be the starter on Saturday, if they win Friday. But with the Shocks only needing to win 2 games in 2 days I don't think overusing any of our pitchers is really much of an issue. I think whoever she goes with will be on a fairly short leash unless the Shocks break out to a big lead (that would be nice).

My expectation is that will see Maura Moore in the circle again tomorrow.

I think #2 seeded UCF got more than they bargained for against #7 Memphis today before prevailing.

UCF started Grace Jewell, their #2 in the circle. Memphis scored 2 runs in the first aided greatly by a Jewell throwing error on a sac bunt attempt resulting in the 1st run of the game scoring and another Memphis baserunner thrown out at the plate trying to score from 1st. A 1-out sac fly made it 2-0.

After the Memphis lead off batter reached 2nd on a throwing error by the UCF third baseman AAC Pitcher of the Year, Sarah Willis took over in the circle. She promptly uncorked a wild pitch that moved the runner to 3rd followed by a single to center to put Memphis up 3-0. After a ground out moved the runner to second Willis made another wild pitch to move the runner to 3rd with 1-out. That was followed by two walks to load the bases. A sac fly to center put Memphis up 4-0 heading into the bottom of the 3rd.

UCF scored 1 in the 3rd and 2 in the 4th to make it 4-3 where it remained heading into the bottom of the 6th. The wheels kind of fell off for Memphis as UCF scored 4 runs on 3 hits (including a home run), 1 error, 1 walk, 2 hit batters and a wild pitch as UCF closed out a 7-4 win.

                          Lauren in the circle.

Syd getting all kinds of love from the ESPN crew.

A 10 pitch top of the first for Lauren. Strikeout, ground out to Zoe and a pop out to Syd. I didn't realize Tulsa also beat OSU twice this year.

Five pitch walk to Syd. Addie with the sac bunt to move Syd to 2nd. LuLu with a lazy fly ball to LF for out 2. Zoe goes down looking.

Tulsa leads off the T2 with a single to right center. Lauren using the drop well to get her second K. Lauren follow that K up with one up and out of the zone for out 2. She follow up those two K's with a four pitch walk. A lined shot to a sliding LuLu ends the threat. To the B2 we go.

LoLo draws a full-count walk. Sami pops up a sac bunt attempt. Taylor flies out to CF. Lainee pops up to SS to end the inning. That's twice now we've failed to make them pay for walking the leadoff. To the 3rd we go.

Lauren starts the 3rd with another K off of a drop. Follows that up with a walk. Wow. A lazy grounder on a half assed swing back to the pitcher ends in a single. Runners at first and second. Coach B visiting the circle. Syd makes a great diving stop up the middle to get the out at 2nd. Runner rounds third and scores just missing the tag at home. Shox trail 0-1 with two outs and a runner on first. Syd just misses ending the inning as she can't hold onto the ball up the middle. Grounder to Sami ends the inning. To the bottom of the third we go.

Video cuts off before the run scores.

Krystin lines a single to LF for the first WSU hit of the game. Syd fouls out to the SS. Addie hits one a mile, but it's foul. She then pops up to the 2B. Krystin easily swipes 2nd. LuLu crushes a hard grounder by the diving 2B for an RBI single to tie the game at 1-1. Zoe lifts a deep fly to the track in LF to end the inning. To the top of the 4th we go.

Lauren gets another K to start the inning. Out number 2 comes on a pop up right behind the plate. I think the only moving Lainee did was turning around. The inning ends with a soft liner to Krystin. Let's get something going in the B4!

LoLo hits a towering shallow fly mall to RF. Sami fouls out to the catcher. Taylor with a looper into RF that is rundown by the 2B. To the 5th.

Ground ball to Syd for out number one. Another to Sami for out two. Another to Zoe ends the T5. Cooper and Schopfer were said to be warming up in the pen.

Lainee quickly pops up for the first out. Krystin with a liner off the pitchers glove for a single. Syd with a chopper to 2B. Krystin was tagged out. Two down. Addie fouls out to the catcher and the Shox continue to make poor contact at the plate for the most part. To the 6th still tied 1-1.

Tulsa starts with a single to RF. A sac bunt moves the runner to 2nd. Cooper still warming in the pen. A weak ass swinging bunt barely down the 3rd base line ends in a single and runners on the corners. Syd ends the inning by snagging a liner and doubling off the runner at first! Lauren owes her a coffee. To the B6.

LuLu draws another lead-off walk. Zoe pops up a sac bunt attempt. The failures at the plate this game have been frustrating. LuLu steals 2nd. LoLo with another lazy fly ball to LF for out number two. Sami strikes out looking. To the seventh we go and we don't deserve to win.

Lauren gets a fly ball out to RF. She gets a lazy fly ball to LF for the second out. Another walk. Nobody covers second on the steal and Sami keeps the ball from going into CF. A shallow fly ball to Zoe ends the inning. To the B7 with Taylor, Lainee and Krystin due up.

Taylor with a soft liner to SS. Bailey Urban hitting for Lainee. Bailey draws a walk to bring up the best hitter of the day in Krystin. Siera Hoekstra just came in to run for Bailey. Krystin continues to be the only one making good contact, but lines out to CF. Syd, who is hitless today, is up. Hoekstra with a steal. Never mind, Siera left well early of the pitch. Boneheaded running error considering the situation. To the 8th.

Tulsa leads off the 8th with a double to right center. A pop up bunt that isn't caught rolls back but not foul. Runners at the corners with no outs. Coach B with a visit. A deep sac fly to LF scores the go ahead run. A fly ball to CF gives us two outs. Sami chases down out number three in shallow CF. To the bottom of the 8th with the top of the lineup and down 1-2.

Syd chases a bad pitch at her head and lines out to SS. Addie crushes a ball foul and follow that up with a bunt single down the first base line. Addie thrown out trying to steal second. LuLu with a lined shot to RF for a single. Zoe gets hit with the first pitch. I got a phone call and missed how the game ended, but it ends with WSU losing.

Uh, no. Played twice and lost twice. Lost 1-3(9) on March 29 and lost 1-9(6) on April 11.
