I think they pretty much leave it up to the umpires, and perhaps with input from the coaches as it should be. Now the NCAA has guidelines when it comes to lighting as I'm sure you know. I think they made the right call to restart tomorrow. If I am a Tulsa fan I would argue they should have made the call at the end of the 4th.

[Saturday]
Addie loads the bases with a bunt single. Lauren walks to score one and Zoe delivers another run with a sac fly. Lolo singles to load the bases again. An error on Sami's ground ball scores one on the ground ball and another on the error. Shockers lead 6-2 in the middle of the fifth. Alison is in the circle for the Shocks. Moore remained in the circle for Tulsa.
Walk, walk, and a sac bunt, but Alison gets out of the inning with no damage following a groundout and a flyout. 6-2 after five.Last edited by flyingMoose; April 29, 2023, 03:27 PM.

Krystin and Syd start the sixth with singles. One out later, Lauren walks to load the bases. Lolo walks with two outs to score a run, and Sami is hit by an 0-2 pitch to score another. Riley Grant, who has some really ugly stats, is on in relief for the Golden Hurricane and gets Taylor to fly out. 8-2 in the middle of the sixth.
Three up, three down, and on to the seventh at 8-2.Last edited by flyingMoose; April 29, 2023, 03:49 PM.

Lainee walks and Krystin singles to bring 4-for-4 Sydney to the plate. Fielder's choice as Lainee moves to third. A walk to Lauren loads the bases, but Zoe fouls out. Still 8-2 as we go to the bottom of the seventh.
Two singles for Tulsa with one out, but Alison does her escape act once again.
Shockers 8-2 Tulsa
Alex gets the win the three back-to-back-to-back doubles being the only hiccup. She struck out three. Alison had three scoreless innings in relief.
Sydney with four hits including a double and two hits from both Addison and Krystin were eight of the nine hits for the Shockers.
