I found 4 Ava Andersons playing volleyball. Strangely enough 2 from KC, and both have played 2 sets or less this season.

Juco in Iowa for the WSU recruited Ava Anderson.

One announced commit who has not been announced as signing (yet) is Olivia Cohee, a 6-1 OH/DS out of McKinney Texas. (See post #22 on page 1). I don't see that she has signed anywhere else yet so perhaps they are waiting on the paperwork although she may have re-opened her recruitment.

2 of these announced signings, Sophia Thompson and Addison Gardner, have not been previously mentioned on this thread as far as I can tell.

Considering we haven't seen a full release with comments I'd assume they may be waiting for the paperwork of Cohee. They generally like to do that release once all commitments are in.

With a signing class of 9 as of now and with 4 seniors completing their eligibility (Izzi, Morgan, Sarah B, and Annalie) you can expect a handful of Shockers on this year's roster, presumably those not seeing much, if any, playing time will be entering the transfer portal. The only redshirt junior on the roster is Brooklyn Leggett who may well earn her degree this year with 1 year of eligibility remaining. So she will have a decision to make if she does get that degree. Things outside of volleyball and school by influence that decision. I'm would think Lambo would love to have her back.

Roster size of 18 sounds like the spring season will be a bit of a tryout phase. Gotta shed at least 5, perhaps as many as 7 or 8?

Actually, unless I miscounted, there are 10 incoming freshmen. Cubbage, Gardner, Wazac, Torrez, Moore, Thompson, Weitkemper, Jones, Cohee & Hollis.

Currently at 24 plus future portal possibilities (in and or out) and have to get to 18.

I think your are right on that freshman count being 10. Ashlynn Hollis (6-0 MB) has not be mentioned previously on this thread but signing to be announced:

Have your heard whether the Shocks will be fully funding the 18 scholarship/roster limit? The only way you have walk-ons is if you do not fully fund the roster limit.

In any case, at this point the upcoming spring season would seem to be more than a bit of a tryout phase unless we see a lot activity from Shocker roster moving into portal between now and January 6th when the window closes. Those players that don't make the cut this spring have another window to enter the portal between May 1 and May 15. Some of those cuts may come out of the big 10 player incoming freshman class.

It will be interesting to see after this initial transition rules to the new roster limits if Lambo will make this an annual thing or if he will reduce his recruiting numbers.
