    Creighton's season is definitely over.

I didn't think WSU looked all that crisp at times tonight, but then they didn't really have to be, so they might have put it on cruise control a little.

the Bear/Shocker match tommorrow should be fun to watch. And UNI may very well have their hands full with the Redbirds if they're not careful. (I think the Panthers can pull it off, but it could be a battle at times)

I see the WSU-MSU match on Friday as being an NCAA Tournament play-in match. The winner is in and the loser is on the bubble.

ILS did look pretty solid today against Creighton and they are capable of giving UNI a competitive match. WSU is the only one of the Big 4 that was able to sweep ILS and they did that twice this year. Must be one of those matchup deals. I will be rooting for UNI to win their match with ILS. I don't have anything against the Redbirds, but I think UNI getting to the finals improves the MVC's chances of getting 3 teams into the dance which benefits the Shocks.

Probably won't get to see much, if any, of the Shockers match due to the Men's BB game downtown. Probably will head downtown for dinner ahead of the game.

      Good Luck Shocks!

That was a heck of a win. I hope that would be enough to give us an at-large bid, but I would would still rather have a win tomorrow, of course.

                    UNI 3-0 Illinois State

                    15, 12 and 12.

The Shockers meet UNI for the MVC Tournament Championship tomorrow. I think the win this evening gets the Shockers in the NCAAs. I think the Bears are in also, but it may be close. UNI, of course, was in before the MVC tournament started.

Just got home from IBA. Did get to listen on and off (mostly off) to the VB match but did not get to see any of it.

I sure wasn't expecting that kind of a beat down. Way to bring it Ladies.

I agree with @flyingMoose: that this gets the Shockers in the NCAA especially with UNI being the opponent in the Championship match. As I said in an earlier post I was looking at tonights MSU match as an NCAA Tournament play-in match with the loser moving to the bubble position. Just don't see how they can put MSU in ahead of the Shocks after tonight and with the Shocks taking 2 of 3 from MSU this year. I think MSU should get in and hopefully that will happen but it will be nervous time for the Bears on Sunday.

Shocks can obviously eliminate all doubt with a win over UNI on Saturday but that is a tall order indeed. If Shocks do lose to UNI then there will no doubt be some fingernail biting going on in Doo Dah on Sunday also. I will be surprised if we are not in, but I will never, ever forget 2005.

WSU definitely had MSU looking all sorts of flustered. Well, between the Shockers playing well, and the Bears suffering from a McLeod Center jinx (they have yet to win a match in that arena. 0-5 to UNI, which isn't terribly surprising; and they were upset in their first matches in both MVC tournaments there).

I'm not so sure about the at-large chances for MSU. They don't really have any good wins on their resume (other than the one in Wichita). And Ohio State (another bubble team) just won at Michigan tonight, so they're probably going to take up a spot.

Just looked at the box score for the MSU match. 16.5 blocks by the Shocks. Talk about a block party.

And the Panthers had 15.0 blocks in their match.

If this keeps up, the Championship might turn into a racquetball match if that many balls are bouncing off "walls". haha

My "think" was an "RPI-think". I definitely defer to Jay's anaysis of the possibilities.
