  • UNI and Bradley Weekend

    Just startin' a thread.

  • #2
Down 5-2 early the Shocks pretty much take over the set from there. They pulled away at 19-18 and win set 1 25-20.

6 blocks made a big difference and the Shocks, outside MEH's initial service error on the match's first point, were aggressive and successful from the service line.

Still need 2 more against an outstanding team, but a WONDERFUL start.

That was Hooper that served in net to start the game.

Thank you for the correction. :good:

Up 24-22 the Shocks give up 2 straight but then call timeout and take the last 2 points of the set to go up 2-0 with a thrilling 26-24 set.

We take a two-sets-to-none lead with a 26-24 win in the second set. In this one, we hit .302 v .283. For the match, our SA-SE is -1 v -2. That of course, does not tell the whole serve-receive story, but we must be doing well.

              They playing Bradley right?

I mean, surely this team isn't dismantling UNI on their home court after getting embarrassed in Koch, right?

The ladies are mostly taking bigger swings from further behind the end line. The ability of UNI to take monster swing after monster swing like MSU did last week has, so far, been nullified.

The Shocks look like they are on the same level with UNI.

Shocks get the score to 23-23 (22-22 when ME rotates back in to serve), but UNI closes it out, 23-25.

Though we get 20-21 (and ME rotates back in), UNI wins the fourth set, 23-25.

They fought back but the 12-18 hole was just a shade too deep I am afraid.

A 5th set will decide it. The girls MUST dig deep right now!
