I didn't hear the entire interview this morning, but Sunrise Christian Academy coach Kyle Linstead was on KGSO a little before 8:00 a.m. I'm ASSuming they discussed Katenda and Olaseni during the part of the interview that I missed.

When I tuned in, Chris Allison asked the coach if there were any current players on the Sunrise roster that WSU may have a chance with in the future.

Although the coach did not mention him by name, he stated that there is a 6'3" SG in the 2012 class who is Bahamian that may be a possibility*.

He also mentioned that [Hield] had 5 different times during the season where he made 5 three-pointers in a quarter.

Finally, I don't recall if he said that [Hield] led the team in scoring for the entire season, or if he meant that there were several games where he was the high point man.

Hopefully someone else heard the interview and can either correct or confirm this.

Terrific. The sooner we establish a serious pipeline with Sunrise and Linstead, the better.

I believe cautious optimism is in order.

I remember well the run away elation and hysteria over the Gabe slam dunk.

Regarding the two big men he basically said they arrived at Sunrise with a list in hand and the locals were a little late.

Regarding BH he said he was the team's leading scorer for the season. I did not recall the coach saying he will (or is likely) to verbal with WSU, although it sounds like there is interest on both sides.

I did find the coach to be a very interesting interview and hope we hear a lot more from him and would love to open up a pipeline.

I don't believe there was any mention of a potential verbal to WSU. Sounded like we were recruiting him, and there is mutual interest, but I didn't read into it any more than that.

Sounds like I'm guilty of reckless posting, for which I should have known better.

The "horse is already out of the barn" but I'll edit my OP in hopes of preventing the further spread of innacurate info.

                    My apologies.

So two of our four available 'ships for next year play AAU together? That's good to know :D

We can just add Aaron Durley and Brandon Morris and be happy!

Not subscribed so I can't read it, but it appears from the caption that Nebraska is pursuing him. Did he attend the 30 point beat down of the Huskers?

Scouts thoughts on Buddy's first day of action at the Chicago Best Buy Classic:

"A nice compliment on the perimeter for Ellis is this 6-foot-4 guard. Despite his awkward release, Heild shot the ball quite well and even knocked down a few shots well beyond the stripe. A solid athlete, Heild is wired to score buckets and he has the look of a solid mid-major prospect. "

Mentioned in another thread, but placing it here to bump. Buddy was at the Shocker elite camp and played in the All-Star game.

That's two at the camp we know to have offers, Buddy and Gavin Thurman and perhaps at least one more.
