The thing that gets me is that the vote among conference commissioners was unanimous, including two that say they don't want to see it eliminated but studied. Then why did they vote in favor of elimination? And why are all the non-power conferences on board?
There just seems to be something amiss, unless they know the NCAA won't eliminate it and therefore their end-game is to initiate serious discussions they hope will lead to reform.
