Gee, that sounds like something the Shockers would do. Do you think there will be two? I've always thought it would be one.

I'm starting to change my mind. Utah has plenty of openings. I don't think they would delay the announcement.

MCC's Clyburn to sign with Utah

                  More confirmation:

Marshalltown Community College sophomore Will Clyburn will sign his National Letter of Intent today with the University of Utah, according MCC men's head basketball coach Brynjar Brynjarsson.

Clyburn earned NJCAA all-Region XI first-team honors by leading the region in scoring and rebounding during his sophomore campaign, averaging 19 points and 9 boards.

He'll join head coach Jim Boylen, who spent 13 years as a coach in the NBA in various capacities, at Utah. The Utes went 14-7 last season and are a year removed from an NCAA tournament bid and 24-10 mark.

The Detroit, Mich native Clyburn had also received offers from Iowa State, Northern Iowa and Wichita State, among others.

Wonder if the Iowa paper "accidently" dropped the 1 that should have been in front of the 7 on Utah's record this year?

Clyburn transferring from Utah after they fire Boylen.

Clyburn was named a second-team all-conference performer after averaging 17.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game for the Utes this past season.

Wants to play closer to home.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Pass. I think we're beyond the point of needing to take up scholarship space for a guy that only has one year left.

I don't know if the staff agrees with you.

There is interest from us, as well as Northwestern and Richmond.

Could be a one year bandage to solidify the 3 spot with Ben. Not saying I agree with it, but if a 6'7" guy that put up 17 a game and shot 40 percent from 3, while playing at a pretty high level of D1 basketball last year, has interest in us, then we probably have interest in him.

I believe he'd be eligible the year after Ben and Toure.

I thought he would be able to step in right away with Utah making a coaching change. Do you still have to sit out a year if your coach is fired and you want to transfer after that?
