If nothing else, the Shox will get some good secondary pub when he plays on TV for the school he does go to, being the son of a Cheese.... :-x

Calling him Cheddar would be enought to make him go somewhere else...

Those stats aren't complete. They are a rough indicator, as that sight relies on a second hand report and does not always get reb. and assist totals. Also, Cheddar played sparingly in a couple games due to an ankle sprain that proabably dropped his point total 3 or so a game.

I'm hoping we are being considered. I don't think Noel has given them a serious list of schools. No mention of leading schools or trimming the list. About every team in the country would love to have him, so perhaps he just throws out a few names in closest contact. As for still being a lot of time....maybe, maybe not. It appears he isn't close to a decision, but many elite players will verbal before their Jr. season starts.

Come on Noel, no other school and town will love you like the Shockers and Wichita!

Stats through 1/23. I think everybody can access this so I won't detail. If you have trouble, I will list the info.

New information and I'm afraid most of it is bad. First, the good news, at least something I didn't remember, Xavier McDaniel is his godfather.

Now for the bad news. For the first time he gives a top five list and we are not on it. In fact, we still are not mentioned. It doesn't appear we are being given consideration.

More bad news. Cheddar is very tight with another Atlanta area standout, Derrick Favors. Derrick is Rivals #3 ranked player in the class of '09. Hoopscoops ranks him #7. They have talked about playing in college together. Everybody is, or will be after him.

I kinda feel like I do when the Shocker's loose a game. Perhaps it more like a feeling of being rejected by family.

Here is the deal. DF and Cheddar want to play together? Let's offer them a package right now and get their attention. Does anybody know if we are actually recruiting Cheddar at all anyway? If so, I hope we hard at it. These 2 could be our one of our best packages since AC and Cliff.

There was contact on our end confirmed by MT during a breakfast speech. Other than that I don't think you could gauruntee we were recruiting him. Either he doesn't want to play at WSU, or he is overwhelmed by the attention of the big boys. Things can change, and if MT has anything to say about it we will continue to be in touch. If he's not interested I wish him well.

Don't forget Kenny Boynton from Florida in that package deal.

We've been in plenty of contact with the Johnsons and there's still plenty of time to make an impression. We all knew this wouldn't be easy and that the kid is going to get looks from a ton of schools.

Seems to me that WSU would be the perfect place for, I dunno, the top 5 prospects in the country to setup shop, ala the fab five.

They could own the town for 4 years, get their jerseys retired at the same time, beat on teams named sycamores, aces, salukis (what is more fun than that??!!).

Did I mention we have a cool nickname, which could be incorporated into something much cooler and marketable than the fab 5.

I think MT needs to save his scholarships and get 5 in one year.

You do realize the fab 5 never won a title and as far as the NCAA is concerned they never even went to a NCAA tournament...Plus because of the violations it took to get all 5 of them Michigan has been mediocre at best ever since then.

They are still probably the best starting 5 in the history of the game. or within the general area.
