      • A player like Noel could be to our Program what S. Curry is to Davidson. This recruiting year will become quality strength in numbers. Next recruiting would be awesome if we could land a couple sleepers to this mix.

        • But there is a big difference between Johnson's and Curry's recruitment's. Curry was not a top 25 recruit. Just a 3 star and elite programs were not interested in him. Since seeing Curry, I've been hoping we might be so fortunate with one of our present recruits.

          • Curry just needed a little more time to develop, and now the world gets a taste of what he can do, KILL GIANTS. Shame on the schools who turned him down, especially his dads alma mater. This kid is real special.

              • A player like Noel could be to WSU what Curry is to Davidson. I predict they both will someday play in the NBA.

                • He will be playing for the South Carolina Ravens this summer. A little odd considering the ATL Celtics are typically amongst the best. Although maybe he wants a chance to be the man more than he would on that team?

                  • Is Mission Impossible--- possible? First we get EO here. Then if not, we go to plan B. This coming Season should be interesting and fun with wholesale changes and a young but entergetic team that shows improvement and moves forward.

Let's just say Mission Impossible does become possible, and Noel becomes a Shocker. He would be a key player on a Team that could very well be back Dancing on a regular basis by his Soph. year if not before. He should get plenty of playing time from jump street. It may be a pipe dream, but with HCGM at the helm, it stays possible with FSF until Noel signs elsewhere. This fine Program would welcome him with wide open arms with the dream of Shocker basketball gaining new heights. It would be awesome if Noel was a big part of what we will soon achieve in the future.

                    • Well, we have some heavy competition:

and I understand that Rick Pitino has Noel in his sights too.

I think that's the point. This, as unfortunate as it sounds, is probably also another recruit to not waste alot of money on. If he's gonna come here, it's not gonna matter how much the coaches talk to him. It will be other people talking up WSU instead. But with the schools listed, it will be very tough.

Just looking at that list, I am surprised that UNC and Duke aren't on there. Looks like all the other powers from the East are though. And could X and his dad really let him go to KU? I mean someone has to draw a line somewhere.

                          • Many of you will remember a former Shocker by the name of John Smith. While he never lived up to his hype, he signed as a Shocker in the Mike Cohen era. He had a very high ranking and who would have dreamed in a million years he would sign here?

The X-Man had a hand in this? Who knows, but he came here and that was a surprise to many. John Smith did not even have prior Shocker blood-lines pumping in his veins like Noel? Therefore, it reminds me of the eternal optimist who jumped off the high rise building. Halfway down he was heard proclaiming these words----"So far, so good." It's never over until it is over. Noel has yet to sign, so who knows? Even so, it is a very long shot and even I know that.

In my opinion, Noel's stock will even rise higher to the point the North Carolina's and Duke's of the world will be watching closely as well. The great news is, WSU basketball is coming back in a big way no matter what. I can feel it in my ole bones. There are so many good players out there and I am really liking the recruits that HCGM is already bringing in here. He is not afraid to recruit awesome players, just because the inner circle says we are not good enough. Now THAT is an attitude that rocks and makes progress.

                            • Smith was a flat out stud on the court! My understanding was that his personal problems (which he brought with him to WSU) played a big part in him not going to a BCS...Too much risk.

Howard was similar, but he more or less left his baggage at the airport.

They did mention his smooth jumper and his 25 points
