  • The amount of bickering on this board is just amazing considering that we all supposedly want the same things. :wsu_posters:

I know I read the rivals article before and re read it this time but really doesn't "versatility and individual toughness" lead to success in any conference?
I think that's code for a good player that doesn't stand out in any paticular way from the crowd. I believe Wessel is a mediocre shotter, has good but not great athleticism, handles, and vision, and is a good defender. Not high major, but able to compete.
His biggest priority during year one won't be scoring on offense, or being a defensive stopper...it will be to deliver Perry Ellis to 21st & Hillside. :yahoo:
I sure hope not. And I sure hope EW doesn't give a damn about idiotic statements like yours. And I'm sure glad you're not the coach.
      From New Collegiate Dictionary:

Fun: Provides amusement or enjoyment; playful often boisterous action or speech.

Clueless (ripemupshocks picture next to definition): Completely or hopelessly bewildered, unaware, ignorant or foolish.

Hey cluelessshocks...get back on your meds and don't take me or yourself quite so serious. It's a fanboard...it's ok to have some fun and goof around a little.

PS - Did you care to notice the emoticon next to my post? It's all in fun. :yahoo:
And I'm sure you fit the definition of a seedy, underhanded, black hearted, user for your desire to use a 17 year old kid to fulfill your own self absorbed fantasies of your team recruiting big names players.

I'm not on meds. There was nothing in your post to indicate you were not serious. And I don't take myself to seriously. I understand its a fan board. That does not make it ok to have fun at the expense of a 17 year old kid who worked his tail of to get to college. If that's your idea of fun, then you're an a**hole!

I did notice the emoticon next to your post. Its called, Yahoo. So you cheered your own stupid statement.
"Hank Iba decided he wouldn't play my team anymore. He told me that if he tried to get his team ready to play me, it would upset his team the rest of the season." Gene Johnson, WU Basketball coach, 1928-1933.

Your number of posts vs. date of membership indicates you don't post a whole lot. They usually don't allow computer access at the state hospitals. I looked at my post. Nothing out of the ordinary compared to the spirit of most of the posts on this fan board. Apparently you need a third party to define your emoticons. My mood at the time of my original post was "all in fun," which is how I see :yahoo: Now, your recess is probably over. Time to let Nurse Ratched get you back to your room.

          • I know I giggle every time I read the assumption on here that EW will have some key part in PE recruitment. Actually it's more of an eye roll.

I wonder if they even talk outside of anything related to heights basketball?Do they hang out together? This I don't know but I don't assume it.

EW seems to be a driven hard nose individual who is a good sign.

            • I truly hope that EW has been recruited and signed based on his own merits. I find it interesting the number of people who want to dismiss the possibility that there may be other motives. It really shocked me when Marshall was quoted in the paper (I'm too lazy to go find the quote, but it was something to this effect) saying that now that EW has signed hopefully it will open up other city league possibilities.

              • It's obvious that Evan's own merits deserve the scholarship and he should be a solid player. But it's OK to hope he can help land Perry and Gavin.

If you watch the MAYB video, he has some good hops.
I believe Todd is Everett Wessel's son and Evan's father.

From his commitment article in the Eagle:

"Playing for the Shockers is a family thing for Wessel, a 6-foot-5, 190-pound guard. His father, Todd, played football at WSU. Everett Wessel, his grandfather, played basketball."

"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".

A physician called into a radio show and said:
