  • Ja'Ln Williams Class of 2011

Hovensports gives us a list for Ja'Ln. Of course we knew WSU would be on it. Others are Southern Illinois, Missouri State, Cleveland State, Baylor, UMKC, SMU and, "a multitude of D-2 schools." I don't think he will go D-2.

6-2 guard, playing for Wichita East Hi, Wichita T-Wolves and KC Pump & Run 16U.

Williams injured his ankle Sunday. The degree of the injury is unknown.

I believe it was at a Hoop Mountain game. An expert on the CL was there and I'm hoping he will give us an update.

Ok, here is a PLAYER who I think wants to be a Shocker along with his AAU teammate for 5 years (EW). We can load up on great Wichita kids this year and for two more after that. Marshall can win big with them and with what he already has. After this season we can give him a big boost in salary that will be due after a deep run and all this concern about him leaving will pass.

            Let's get him.

PS. Shocker coaches were at his open gym last week.

I'm on board...that's where my dad went to school. Played QB with Lynwood Sexton playing running back.

Nine minutes of Ja'Ln with some Evan Wessel here and there:

He has great court instincts, especially on defense.

And that was in 2008. A freshman?

Yes 2008 and here is 2009, getting up one year's worth higher:

Some nice Williams to Wessel plays in this one.

Speaking of Ja'ln, really good read here:

We have been talking for some time about the unbelievable talent in Wichita this year, especially in the 2012 class.  As a result, we expect some very competitive match-ups in the area, with the Ci…

That kid has some SIU, floorburn U, Darren Brooks in his game. While the SIU of old was as fun as watching paint dry...I would take a little of that any day of the week. :good:

I know they're just highlight videos, but I saw a much more complete game from Ja'Ln than in the Austin Chatman videos.

Haven't heard much about a kid out of Derby that also plays with Ja'ln Williams and our Evan Wessel. Might need to take a look at him. Looks like he was the high scorer and rebounder on the T-Wolves team and was ranked the 6th top player in Vype magazine. Found these highlights which also have Evan and Ja'ln.
