The beginning of the first gig made me think of the Movie--"2 Mules for Sista Sara" with Clint Eastwood which means we now need to pipe in a little "the good, the bad, and the ugly"

The "Head Of Femur" took me back to Vegas--Yikes!!!-- then a fast forward to next Shocker Season" thinking "Come on baby--what happened in Vegas will no longer need to stay in Vegas--let's go downtown Vegas and sign DW!!!!!!!"
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

          Demetric's Senior year stats:

          48.0 FG%
          88.0 FT%
          3.3 Rebounds PG
          3.9 Assists PG
          1.4 Steals PG
          16.4 Total Points per game

Everything I read about him indicating he scored between 11 and 20 points every game, which means he is pretty consistent. I love the 88% for free throw shooting as we all know we need to improve in that area.

            No 3pt FG percentage?

No, the 3P% was not listed in the stats.

                  Interesting...

According to the MaxPreps stats, Demetric actually averaged more points this season than Elijah Johnson. I wonder how our friends in Lawrence will feel about this if we do end up signing Demetric.

Also, some of the averages on that site look to be misleading. There are a number of games that don't have any statistics listed other than points. However, the website is counting those games in his assists/game average. When recalculating his assists/game, he actually averaged 5.1 per game. There was only one game in which they kept track of his assist numbers that he recorded less than 4 assists. I find that to be pretty impressive for a high school kid.

Unfortunately, his assist-to-turnover ratio is on 1.1 to 1. Not exactly what you would like to see.

Still another athlete that can D-up some folk, drain his fair share of free-throws, and score. I did see PJ's cousin and DJ's teammate EJ play here last summer at the Chuck and he was really something. The more I read and hear of DJ, the more I want him as a Shock.

Well --- I'm sure our weather impressed him. Can't say much for his list of schools though.

Hmm, intriguing. I wonder if we have anyone else scheduled to visit, say tomorrow?
