Good to hear. Still tough to compete against KU and K-State. Guess it'll boil down to how the Shox do over this next year, keeping the staff in place and hope that he wants to be a "hometown hero".
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

            • I think HCGM will be looking to pull as many city league kids as possible in the class of 2012. Perry would of course be the coup.

              • I believe this is breaking news; apologies if it isn't. I haven't seen it on the board anywhere.

                Edit: Good luck, "Markus"!

                • Since we aren't in the Big 12 I assume WSU is included in the group of "other BCS schools".

                  • How many BCS elitist are scratching their heads at the prospect of the schools on the list being overlooked and Perry choosing Wichita State?

Ill set the O/U at 100.

Gotta like being included as a "other BCS school" with these names:

The Aggies join the ranks of Big 12 and other BCS schools from around the nation who have offered Ellis. That list includes “Wake Forest, Wichita State, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, Memphis and Oklahoma.”

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kickass ... and I'm all out of bubblegum.

The whining and finger-pointing probably isn't as likely now that St. Roy is gone, kc. I was reading an ESPN article the other day about what's wrong with college basketball (link below),

Given the promise of anonymity, 20 high-profile head coaches from across the country let loose on what and who plagues the world of college basketball recruiting -- and what can be done to fix it.

and I thought it was interesting to note the following comment from one of the coaches who was interviewed anonymously for the piece:

"Every time North Carolina loses a kid, someone else is cheating. It's like there's so much arrogance with them; they can't believe someone would rather go somewhere else, so the other team has to be cheating.''

Gee, does that sound familiar? And who's coaching there these days?

Seems like I saw that he will probably cut his list this Fall. Don't know where I saw it.
