KU is only 150 miles away. Plenty of KU alumni and fans in ICT. I just want to take the time to say thank you Mr. Ellis for tipping the cap toward the Shox and showing respect during this process and throwing us a bone. Even though we won't be selected, I'd rather you stay in-state rather than play for that crook JC.

Perry Ellis- Decision to KU

I don't get this "inferior" attitude expressed on here. WSU has a history of being able to compete nationally when it has a good coach (and we have a great coach now) and can attract talent (which we're doing now) and especially if we can keep top-of-the-line local talent at home. Mr. Ellis can do for WSU what Antoine Carr did...there is no doubt in my mind. There shouldn't be any doubt in anybody's miind.
At least one preseason ranked WSU 25th, didn't it? That's only one "great" as opposed to "quality"player away from top 10. Once in the top 10, anything is possible.
Believe, Shockers and Mr. Ellis, believe. It can happen and you can make it happen! WSU takes a backseat to none of the schools being considered.
We've been there under Miller/Thompson and under Smithson. Nest up, under Gregg!"I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

I think WSU fans will handle a KU choice a lot better than KU fans would handle a WSU choice.
If it's KSU, I expect both Jayhawk and Shox fans will have some difficulty handling that, but it's still Perry's choice and we can't make it for him.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I'd feel much better if Gavin had already announced he's coming to WSU.

@ShockerHoops I've actually tried to tell people that they're not as long of a long-shot as everyone thinks.

He said his pick was KU if he had to go on a gut feeling, but still said that about WSU. We're definitely turning heads recently with our recruiting, and if we get Perry, we're definitely on our way back to the AC hay days.

More like 5%, 92%, 2%, <1% in the same school order.
Again, I appreciate the way Perry and his family have handled this arduous process, and while it's gone mostly unsaid, I also appreciate and congratulate Coach Marshall and his staff for being so dedicated and upfront in their recruitment of Perry. It's been handled beautifully on both ends.

It's interesting to speculate. My guess is that it is 50/50 KU v WSU
Can't see K-State offering anything that KU doesn't offer X100
UK is tempting, but not sure PE wants to play that far away from home
KU is the obvious choice, but doesn't have the "home town" feel and the latest conference shake-up could be somewhat concerning (though I think KU will wind up in the Big 10ish).
