    Korleone Young?

    Perry Ellis?
Jamie Thompson and Kelly Pete were darn good Wichita High School players. Not to mention the likes of Terry Benton (WSU), Kent Hill (Iowa?), Adrian Griffin (Seton Hall), Steve Woodbury (KU), Karl Papke (WSU), Lester Pace (OU). By the way, Lester was Taj Gray's uncle. Daryl Pace was a pretty good player in the Carr/Ross days.

I agree with Royal - throw in Korleone Young as the 5th best from Wichita. Too bad he got such bad advice.

                  • Ellis Stays on the Trail

"His evolution as a player has been significant, though slightly undetectable since his numbers aren't greatly improved — he's averaging 24 points and 11 rebounds. Last season, he averaged 19 and 11 while making the Eagle's All-State team and being chosen Gatorade Kansas Player of the Year."

The article also says he has grown an inch and put on 10lbs. since last year.

Murry will have graduated by the time Perry will be in college. Unless Toure decides to redshirt.

                              • Ellis will certainly earn himself on the "unofficial" all-time All-City League Team. Who will he replace:

Ricky Ross - IMO best HS basketball player ever in Kansas. Saw him in 1978 outscore Southest 47-45 I believe the final score was. Scored 42 points in the 1979 Kansas-Illinois All-Star game in Levitt to lead Kansas to a victory over an Illnois team that included Isiah Thomas, Terry Cummings, Teddy Grubbs & Darryl "Sky" Walker.

Antoine Carr - along with Valentine, brother James, James Alexander and Doc Holden formed the greatest HS basketball team ever in Kansas, IMO.
                                Darnell Valentine - see above.
Aubrey Sherrod - second greatest sharpshooter ever in the GWAL (Ross)
Greg Dreiling - a beast of a player with finesse skills.
