I noticed Marquette is a Catholic College in Milwaukee. Exactly how big is it?
I know they are considered pretty well in Basketball circles.

Garrett seems to like schools with Black and Gold colors.

Marquette is actually blue and gold.

He will be visiting Marquette this weekend. So much for him saying it would be Kentucky, SMU or us.

Its nothing to get riled up on.

Marquette is a Jesuit school like Creighton, SLU, Boston College, Xavier, Rockhurst, Loyola, etc. I don't know the exact enrollment, but I thought they were about double the size of Creighton, so that would put them at approx. 8200-9000 undergrads.

As far as Minnesota goes, Minny recently got a verbal from Iverson who also tops out around 7', so I'd be a little surprised if Sampson ultimately chooses to go there, but you never know.

I predict that after Gary Parrish annoints the MVC as the #7 conference tomorrow and Stutz completes his 3rd visit to WSU this weekend, he will announce his intention to move to Wichita in June of '08 (in time for summer pick-up games, of course). :good:

No new info but received email today from a good friend in KC who has Garrett's father as a friend. Father talked to him about the schools that have been mentioned in this thread and stated WSU working "hard." Friend told me Garrett's dad says Garrett's not making a rush decision as his father states this is a "life changing decision." KU's Danny Manning has also "called a few times" but nothing serious.

Again, no inside info but feel very good after hearing from my friend....
