Ahhhhh. I didn't think about that. That makes more sense. So not all schollies were taken, just the 5 max.

Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

It used to be correct, but it maybe isn't now. My guess is that it isn't now. He would have to be a "walk-on" with a scholarship for the next season.

Let's put it this way. EO is a keeper. FSF met him and I watched him play. He loves The game and works hard. He loves the Celtics, the Lakers, and Kobe. In my eyes, he is aleady a Shocker, and someday will officially be a Shocker. His potential as a person, a student, and a basketball player is oozing with positivity and is well worth every solitary effort we invest in this young man. When that opportunity arises, and all the red tape has all been corrected, the Twin Towers will return and we WILL MAKE ROOM for EO. HCGM will never quit until every effort has been made to make him a Shocker. I have no proof of this. However, I feel it it my ole bones. Can u dig that?
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Question - Will HCGM try to fill EO's schollie for this coming season? Perhaps, with a Juco player? If EO, in all likelyhood, won't be back for 2 years, this seems like the best alternative.

I'm really not sure what really available out there. If he can find a good/decent big go for it. Otherwise, save it and see what develops. That would get you possible two more recruits next season.

I think 1 player that should be considered for a schollie this coming year
should be 6'8" Gary Flowers out of Chipola. Flowers will be a sophmore, and he is from Dallas, TX which we would be a lot closer to his home.

Or 7', 260 lb., Jon Kreft, going to be a sophmore on Chipola's team.

So I take it you think we should get another player from Chipola? :)

Having seen Kreft play twice in the NJCAA tourney, I got a mixed impression. He's mobile, fairly aggressive and has some skills but he fouls a lot. It limits his ability to really get into the flow of the game and reach a comfort level on the floor.

I liked Flowers' game, but I get the impression he comes with some baggage.
