-*WSU Recruits and Prospects:
Recruits: WSU probably has, or had some level of interest in the player beyond prospecting. If a recruit has committed verbally or by LOI to another school, he is taken off this list but can be found in "links."
Prospects: WSU probably is or was prospecting the player to determine if they have a interest and/or if the player is interested in WSU. Keep in mind that the determination between a prospect and a recruit is based upon the current information currently known and many times just due to lack of information. There might be serious mutual interest between a listed prospect and WSU. If the player attended WSU's elite camp this year and no other recruiting information is known, he is listed as a prospect. If the prospect has committed verbally or by LOI to another school, he is taken of this list but can be found in "links."
Recruits or prospects in a NJCAA school are designated by "JUCO." The home State of a JUCO recruit is followed by the State where they are playing if it is different. In most cases recruits who were recruited by our current coaching staff in high school playing at a NJCCA school are placed on the recruiting summary of the year it's expected that they will be able to transfer to Div-1. They are normally listed as prospects until further information becomes available.
Rival stars are followed by Scout stars.
Interest level is my current best guess.
Day of last update was started on 7/2/08. If no date is given, the last update was prior to 7/2.
Recruits claiming offers from WSU are: Point Guards Ryan Fleming, Javarez Willis, Combo Forward Tony Crisswell and Power Forward Torye Pelham. Recruits claiming WSU offers are color coded in yellow.
IMO WSU is no longer after or in the picuture for any of the above.
The Shockers have no available scholarships left for 2009.

Shawn Adams 6-6 (MO) Interest: Prospect
Scouting Report: The tall wing was a big part of a good KC area team during his junior year. Looked at as a potential major recruit during his freshman year however his stock has decreased since then. He is still believed to be a Div-1 player if he becomes more consistent. His recruitment this year has been under the radar of the media. MoSports ranked him #43 in the State last year and that ranking includes players in the class of 2008. He can finish above the rim or step out for a jumper to the 3 point line. He excels at beating big men from the stripe with drives to either the left or right.
Offers and schools of interest are unknown.

His goal has been to play for his home town Tulsa team.
Through his sophomore HS year he had a 3.4 gpa, so he is probably a qualifier and could transfer to a D-1 school in 2009.

Commits to WSU
Kenny "KJ" Manigualt 6-4 PG/SG (SC) 3*/3 LOI
Scouting Report: A solid all-around, lean and very athletic player who has been making strides playing point. Although not particularly fast, a good distributor of the ball who likes to push the ball in transition and a good defensive player. Scout has recently said he could be a "high-major sleeper pg," and Prep Stars agrees. He was in the Scout top 100 earlier this year. He has been considered a top 500 recruit for sometime and his stock his taken a recent hike. Now considered a top 200 recruit by Prepstars. Although not a great outside shooter, he can drive at will and finish at the rim.
Manigualt was also offered by The Citadel and possibly Richmond before making his early August verbal to the Shockers.
Schools with various levels of interest included Georgia Tech, South Carolina, Clemson, College of Charleston, Presbyterian, Marquette, Michigan, SMU, Florida State, Chattanooga, UNC-Wilmington, Winthrop, Southern, Holy Cross, Coastal Carolina, Virginia, Radford, North Carolina State, Stanford, Michigan
Jerome Hamilton 6-8 PF/C (GA) 3*/2* LOI
Scouting Report: A post player with a strong upper body which helps him play inside and score close to the basket. He is quick, runs good in transition, a very good jumper and rebounder and a very good defender. He plays super hard and with energy.
Schools that had interest include Florida State, Middle Tennessee State, Auburn, UAB, Jacksonville, College of Charleston, Nebraska, Belmont, East Carolina, South Alabama, Tulsa, Purdue. But it came down to between WSU and Southern Illinois.
Johnny Coy 6-8 SF (MO) Transfer from Arizona State
Scouting Report: A redshirt transfer from Arizona State who will immediately start practicing with the Shockers. He may be eligible in the Fall of 2009 due to a hardship. He is a SF/PF who can hit the 3 and has a complete game. He will also play baseball for the Shockers. He was Rival's 139th ranked player and 23rd ranked SF in the 2008 class. Scout ranked him as the 26th best SF in the class. A Rivals and Scout 3 star. IMO if he is quick enough to defend when playing the 3, he will have a very big impact for the Shockers.
Tyler Richarson 6-4 SG/SF Alabama
Scouting Report: A young wing who can hit the three, drive and hit his free throws. Signed with the Shockers in the Spring after serious interest from Tulane and UTEP.
Demetric Williams 6-2 PG Las Vegas, Nevada
Scouting Report: 16ppg, 48% from the field and 88% from the line as a senior. Had offers from VCU, Pepperdine, SMU, Washington State and Montana State.
Trop's current MVC class ranking: 1st
Manigualt and Coy give them the Shocker's the best 1-2 punch in Valley recruiting. Good enough to keep them on top of my rankings. Williams looks like a very nice high school spring pick-up.
Gabe Blair 6-8 PF Transfer from East Carolina
A transfer who is part of the class of '08 but will not be eligible for play until '09. He will have two years of eligibility.

:) = thanks for attending the Shocker's elite camp.

Centers
