Here's some names I saw today that I can't find info on Rivals for. Maybe one of the other sites have something or maybe we'll just have to wait a while before we can find more info on them.

Shaun Adams. 6'6" from Liberty MO I believe. '09. Looked like there was some definite potential. Decent range and nice length.

Dray Baker. 6'1" from San Antonio. '09. This kid could play and was one of the better performances.

Mark Braden. 6'3" from KCMO '10. Had a decent day from what little I saw of him.

Basil Brown. 6'4" from Dallas '10. I liked what I saw from him and is one I'm sure we'll have our eyes on.

Greg Canales. 6'6" from Wichita. Looked OK. Not sure what class he's in.

Steve Carver. 6'7" from Shawnee KS '10. Didn't look too shabby. There's some potential there. Also has decent size for his age.

Chas Clemens. 6' from OKC '09. He was alright but didn't impress me as much as many other guards.

Sean Duff. 6'2" from STL '09. He was solid but didn't stand out.

Jon Ekey. 6'8" from Independence MO '09. He may have been the 2nd best big man I saw there today behind Hamilton.

Rex Farmer. 6'6" from Edmond OK '11. Considering his age he did quite alright.

Deon Graham. He's 6'4 but I couldn't find any other info on him. He played fairly well.

Jake Guenther. 6'6" from Altoona IA '11. Another kid looked pretty good considering his age.

Kristapher Gulley. 6'5" from Dallas '10. Held his own but there are probably better options based off of what I was able to see.

Maurice Holliday. 6'3" from KCK '10. Had some nice plays and would be one to keep an eye on. He may become a player.

DJ Jackson. 6' from KCMO '11. He did alright for himself and showed some potential.

Quince Jackson from Carrolton TX. There was no other info I could find on him either but he had a nice showing from what I saw.

Terry Leake was another player that I couldn't get any info on. I saw one game where he stood out a few times with some nice plays.

Xavier McClish. 6'3" from Midwest City OK '11. This kid showed some ability and I'm sure will continue to be on our radar.

Joe Mitchell. 6'1" from Wichita. This kid played quite well. I don't know anything else about him but he was very impressive and definitely had one of the better days.

Curtis Okafor. 6'4" from KCMO '11. He had a decent day. Nothing phenomenal or anything from what I saw but he's got a few years to develop more.

Eric Randall. 6'9" from Edmond OK '09. I expected more out of the big man. He was by no means brutal but I felt he could do more.

Tim Ray 6'5" from Keller TX '10. Showed a little promise but was definitely out played in my eyes.

Travis Smith 6'4" from Johns Island SC '09. This kid was a player and one of the better ones on the day. Saw him talking with a couple of coaches afterwards with a couple of other players.

Melvin Turner 6'7" from Lee's Summit '10. He did alright for himself but needs to improve his game as he was definitely weaker than more than a few guys that went up against him.

This is about the best I could do. There were a lot of names and I tried to get as much as I could while watching and talking. They went through different drills then broke up into teams and played 3 on 3 for a while then played 5 on 5. There were definitely some players in town and if we land a few of these kids we'll be alright.

Attended my first scrimmage this summer and while excited by the level of competitiveness (especially for early scrimmages) couldn't quite sort out the players involved - who was the player that RC pushed off on a fast break who exchanged verbals afterwards? I'd love to see a blow by blow description of todays action by one of our knowledgable ones! It looked to me like a whole lot of three point shots were going in and some pretty good cuts to the basket - is that correct or am I off base? Who was the player shooting hoops while the WSU signees were scrimmaging?

Are you talking about the guy in the red and black shorts? Someone asked the guy at the scoreboard and he didn't even know him. Said he'd been around the last few days. If it was one of the HS kids in white shirts there were a couple. One was Hamilton and I forget who the other was shooting around. He'd changed and no longer had a number on so it was difficult to know.

I was referring to the guy in the red & black shorts & dark top with no numbers on it and I presume that EO was the player in all black who joined midway through the scrimmages and played with the team who took their shirts off, correct?

            That's correct.

I ran all the names that were listed by Sub through Scout's search. The one that came up was Sean Duff from St. Louis, He is a scout 1 star with no stories other than a mention last year when he took an unofficial to Miami (OH).

With Sub's comments on Shaun Adams (6-6 from Liberty, Mo) and since he was ranked #43 by MoSports, he is probably destined to be a pretty good Div-1 player. Keep in mind that Mosports rankings included 2008 players.

He is a SG and was a big part of his high school team that beat Justin Clark's and Ekey's team at the end of last season. However there might be some baggage. After that game he was dismissed from the team for an incident at a school dance and didn't play in the state tournament games. No info about him playing next year.

Dray Baker from San Antonio, Taft Hi, class of '09, given a thumbs up by Sub is currently ranked #42 by Texas Hoops. They say he has a strong body, can create, finishes in the paint, has a nice mid-range jumper, can hit the three and handles it well. This high of ranking by Texas Hoops usually mean definite Div-1 player.

He had surgery during the early part of the season last year. I believe he came back from it and played later but not positive.

A little more on Sean Duff. He is considered by RameyBasketball.com as a low to mid major Div-1 prospect. They believe he is one of the St. Louis' area top guard prospects. He is a combo guard who has long range ability but also can drive and play good defense. 16 ppg last year for Westminster but will transfer to a very strong Borgia Hi team next year. Plays AAU with Gateway Basketball Club. He didn't make Mosports top fifty or their cutting room floor articles which mentioned others that came on strong last season.

Baker was the one new name that impressed me the most I think. I didn't get to see them all play a lot and they all went hard for a good 3 hours so I may have caught some when they were a little fresher than others. But the guy I was sitting with and myself liked the amount of talent that was invited and showed up to camp. I didn't pay attention too much to the kids that just signed up but there were a couple of there that may have been able to hold thier own with some of the kids that were invited. There were non invited kids from AR, CO, OK, TX, IA and of course KS.

Rex Farmer is a freshman sensation in Home School basketball. Plays for the Oklahoma City Storm which is apparently a pretty good team.

Terry Leake is from the Memphis area, Whitehaven High School. Class of '09. In the following article he is ranked #11 in the Memphis area. But the catch is that's right behind Johnny Williams who is usually regarded as a top 200 or much better player.

Leake is a versatile three who is becoming one of the most talked about players in the city with his ability to hit mid-range jumpers and hit the glass.

I just wanted to write – great job Sub and Trop providing information about the kids who attended the camp. Frankly, it is almost too much information.
