Many guys are role players and blossom into key players. See the guy at Drake last year.

Can he shoot without a doubt, but wasn't he exposed though after the first couple of games though?? meaning when people started to actually guard him he was stoped.

royal you make a valid point but you got to realize what marshall is doing, he has been getting tall athletic players excluding hannah, i really dont see hatch fitting into what marshall wants to do. Can i see him as a walk-on yes but he is not worth a schollie.

On getting married i agree with getting an education but what about working, getting a house, maybe having a kid what time does he got to focus on basketball??

We need only look at our recent history, ala Matt Clark, to see the value of having a guy like him stick around.

AJ Hawkins got married this summer too, I guess he's gone then under this stupid logic.

Maybe you should let Mr. and Mrs. Hatch worry about that.

He was shut down because there was nobody else on the team they had to worry about from outside. Teams didn't have to worry about anyone else. And lets not forget that by all accounts he should have been redshirted last year if we'd had the ability to do so.

I'll add that, not including religeous faith, Mormon's are highly committed to two things above all else...family and education. IF Hatch leaves, it will not be because he is married.

That said, Hatch fits in to HCGM's prototypical scholarship player less than anyone else on the team. He, Durley, and Clemente are the only hold-overs from MT's days. Clemente graduates and I believe that JTD and GH are the two most likely defectees at this point in the academic year. I hope both stay, but there is a high liklihood that SOMEONE will be gone after this season and prior to graduation.

A.j. Is a much better player and more valueable even if we havent seen him play. And what about matt b and p.j. as offensive threats? With the marriage thing i was just sayin with all the things goin on he may want to focus on other things because he is not nba caliber nor euro leauge. Like i said i really like hatch but i feel he is more of a walk-on and not a scholarship player, i would love to have him on the team but i would rather use that schollie on someone who is better.

                      Hamilton continues to impress ....

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

It's not uncommon for players to be elevated in stars after making a commitment to a good program. And the rankings are only updated about every 2-3 months.

My money is that he will be a 4* by the end of his senior year.

if he is as raw as scouts say he is then i wouldnt doubt seeing him turn into a 4* during the spring
