I also doubt the Maze speculation, but it's fun anyway!
;-)
Seriously, though. As has been mentioned, there are questions about his eligibility. To play D1 he would have to somehow spend time next year not playing and getting eligible.
Nate Brumfield who played at Hutch two years ago signed at Weber State, but didn't graduate from juco. He enrolled at WSU (the other one), but didn't make grades and dropped out.

Again, though. Not putting too much into the rumor.........

This is what the April 11 article posted on the first page of the thread says: "Ken Bowman, a 6-9 power forward who played with Maze in junior college and had been recruited by Maryland, could end up at Kansas State. A recruiting source said Bowman would not have qualified academically at College Park. The Terrapin Times reported recently that Williams was also interested in Frank Barnes, a 6-9, 260-pound center from Davie, Fla."
What I have heard is that he is not qualified for D1 at all and will not be in time for next fall. (Seems Royal has too.) That could be a vicious lie or rumor. Incidentally, I think the Baltimore writer was probably just reporting what others have said--that Bowman was looking at KSU--not that he had qualified to attend there.Wear your seatbelt.

It's an exciting Spring signing period! We already have exactly what we needed in Reggie. And now we are in the running for three more difference makers from the JUCO ranks.
Not only Bobby Maze and Ken Bowman but let's not forget Montrell McDonald. He appears to be deciding between K-State, Texas Tech and perhaps Oregon, Miami and us. Any of these guys will make us immediately stronger. Two of them can put us among the ranked recruiting class for the year.
And for those of us that like to dream, the little tidbit from Coach Marshall about an International player lets us wonder just how good this class might end up. It's a great time to be a Shocker because this class could turn into a real shocker! In the fast lane
