The article above mentions that Maze did not visit St. Johns, and will visit Cincy and Kentucky first.
Hoopmasters says the 5 schools he is considering are St. Johns, Kentucky, Cincy, USC, and Wichita State.
He is expected to be academically qualified, but will be going to summer school to graduate.

If he can't get into Maryland I would be stunned if St John's would grant him admission. Gary Williams has enrolled some real sketchy kids.......I just can't see St Johns being in the mix.
Honestly, I'm sure I like being mentioned in the same breath as USC, Cincy and UK......at least not like this.

St. Johns just signed two combo guards and appear out of the Maze sweepstakes. Kentucky fans are buzzing about him and of course appear confident about getting him.
IMO there is plenty of reason for us to get Maze if we can, even with our two JC guards we have coming in. All three of these guys can also play the off-guard. Although Murry and Kyles are our long term future at that position, they will need time to develop. Adding Maze will definitely strengthen us the next two years at both guard positions. In the fast lane
