This comes as no surprise whatsoever. 3G likes him some JUCO bigs. Is the first 2018 JUCO we've offered?

Nope, we offered Antun Maricevic about a week ago.

Lots to work with here. I can imagine him with another 15-20 pounds of
upper body muscle to go along with an already good base.

Very savvy around the basket, which is necessary because he's a below-the-rim player

That's why I like Udeze. Just about the same size, but has more explosion to his game.

I think there is more athleticism than you think. He reminds me of Carl Hall his first year at WSU. Big, strong, and long. Carl was a little timid and lacking confidence his first year but he became an animal his Sr. Year, especially when we went to the NCAA Tourney and F4.

I was thinking Carl Hall as well.

I like what he brings to the table. Size and good hands.

What I was trying to say is that he's not a jumping jack, but he doesn't have to be. He's big, beefy and knows how to leverage his size and length around the basket to clear space and score. Notice the play where he uses his butt to "gently" bump a guy off (I think it was on a rebound). That's subtle but smart.

I think it would be back to back Shaqs - This Shaq is a 2018 recruit ? and Shaq Morris will be gone after this season

Carter also earned offers from Iowa State and Memphis last weekend. He is receiving tons of other high-major interest and plans to wait until the spring to decide on a school. Carter will be in Wichita this weekend for the Mullen Showcase.
