Actaully yes. 3G is such a rock star that if he was hanging out there he could cause some real issues. Straight cash homey! :playful: Yeah, that's what I meant.
Not to mention how nervious those poor kids would be playing in front of coach. Now that i think about it, youre right. BIG PROBLEM!

Reading through these guys, there seems to be alot of 3 star players. This is normal for the program. But ive noticed alot of big name schools in the same ljsrs, so i have to wonder, are the recruiting sevices under valuing alot of these kids?

The easy answer is yes. The coaching staff has done a great job of recognizing talent before the majority of other P6 teams. However, the majority of prospects are 3-star recruits. 4-stars mean you're a Top 100 recruit, and while we are actively recruiting several Top 100 guys, the majority of our targets are in the 100-200 range.
I still believe Donnie Jones is going to land a recruit or two that is going to surprise everyone. It'll likely be someone we've known about but it'll be a commitment that the national media won't see coming. DJ just seems to aim a little big higher than KL or IB.

I noticed that Colin Castleton was missing from your last player list. Is one of the parties no longer interested?

Actually, it seems to me what has been normal is that we might have been recruiting 3 star players but, for the most part, we were landing the 2 stars and turning them into four stars by the end of their tenure here. It would appear our recruiting has definitely been effected by the new conference.

I think we were recruiting a lot of players ranked 3* and around # 250-400 in their class. The high school commits from the class of 2014 per 247sports:

That's the problem with the ranking "system", none of them were consistent. I guess my point here is that we are attracking a higher caliber athlete over the past several seasons and it would seem, based on the current list of offers, that the 2018 crop is a much higher caliber than what we've seen in the past and the likelihood of getting several of those athletes suited up in the yellow and black is greater as well.
The writer makes a point of showing that Marshall gets more out of the players he brings to WSU, defying expectations based on the ratings (or lack thereof) those players receive.
Colin Castleton confirms Wichita State is showing interest: http://www.scout.com/college/illinoi...-georgia?s=469
"Castleton listed Illinois, Florida, Clemson and Georgia as the programs that are at the top of his list right now. Ole Miss, Texas and Wichita State are also new to the party and showing interest."
Coach Marshall & his entire staff were in CKA yesterday afternoon in the MP facility to run a practice. Marshall gave them a nice speech near the end & they had to be out of the facility by 5:30 PM when Chris Lamb was to start a VB camp. It's likely that Marshall & his staff then soon departed Wichita for more recruiting.
