Shocks02, we truly appreciate your hard work and efforts. We will be young for 2018-2019 and still we face the unknowns of MM and LS. Thus, it makes me ponder that the Shocks could be keeping a keen and even more watchful eye on some skilled Juco players to better balance the team for the future. Do you know of any such possibilities yet? Especially among the bigs in Juco? 3G has also done a great job on transfers too and that could happen on into 2018 as a remote possibility? Even so, we are on so many 4 star and sleeper 3 star players in high school, we may only have a few slots to fill in the possible voids needed after the early signing period. Ideas?
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

The only 2018 JUCO prospect I've heard us connected to is 6'4 Hutch CC guard JJ Rhymes. That being said, I see us signing anywhere from 7 to 9 players in this 2018 class when all is said and done. I think the odds of one, or both, of LS and MM declaring for the draft is pretty high and as we know, somebody always transfers. Lets assume LS and MM both declare. This is what we would know for 2018-2019...

          Samajae Haynes-Jones
          Austin Reaves
          Erik Stevenson
          CJ Keyser
          Rodgerick Brown
          Isaiah Chandler
          Asbjorn Midtgaard

To me this says we will need two more guards, a small forward, two power forwards and a center. Will be interesting to see how things play out. Here are a couple of names we seem to be recruiting heavily...

          Guards:
          Tyler Harris
          Daylen Kountz
          Zach Scott Jr.
          Serrel Smith
          Jason Wade
          Diante Wood

          Forwards:
          Miller Kopp
          Feron Hunt
          Morris Udeze
          Jal Bijiek
          Vincent Williams
          Tyrese Samuel
          Reggie Chaney
          Josh Roberts

          Centers:
          Flo Thamba
          Dimon Carrigan
          Jalen Shaw

That's not surprising based on the fact his sister is there, right?

And it would seem our interest waned as well. Perhaps he made it clear to the staff he was headed to Stanford.

Paul Biancardi released his All-Analytics teams for the Nike EYBL. Vincent Williams was awarded 1st team and Dimon Carrigan was awarded 2nd team. Pretty amazing that Vincent isn't generating more recruiting interest.

                    • I really hope we can land either Carrigan or Thamba. We need a freak athlete underneath to compliment our other bigs.

                      • The first of three July evaluation periods begins tomorrow. They run July 12-16, 19-23, and 26-30. 2018 recruiting will be pretty hectic from now until the fall signing period in early November.

Both Erik Stevenson (Washington Supreme) and Rodgerick Brown's (Team Thad) teams qualified for the UAA finals. They'll play a warmup game tomorrow and then start bracket play on Thursday. The UAA Finals, Nike Peach Jam and Adidas Gauntlet Finale will all run Wednesday through Sunday.

                            • You can tell who is a top priority by who the head coach is watching. Gregg in the house for Dimon Carrigan and/or Reggie Chaney.
